I agree LB and even CB is rare about spending top ten currency on. Similar to spending a top ten pick on a RB, ala CMC. Just like CMC, Simmons is much more than an one label "LB". Hes a weapon to combat the CMC type of weapons.

Works for me. Simmons looks like a stud of a prospect, but I'd take Brown all day everyday. We had one of the best LBs I've ever seen playing last year and it didn't matter. We still had a bottom of the barrel D. The Seahawks had probably the second best LB in the NFL playing last year and it didn't matter. They still had a bottom of the barrel D. If your DL is weak, your D is weak. It's just that simple.

Lol no way we take Brown over Simmons, at this point it would probably be a better bet we would go Kinlaw over Brown. If Simmons is available, he is the pick.

These same types will be howling that Simmons is a bust mid-way through the season if he we draft him and he's getting swallowed up by blockers because our DL sucks. LOL!

Fans have no patience, Ive given up trying to fight them. Many on here have already declared the all/most of 2019 draft class trash.

Would be a good problem to have.

Don't see both being there, but guess I would take Brown.  Build from the inside out.  Unless.......you had a couple other DT prospects that ranked very high that you knew would be there in the early second round.  Then take the LB.

Exactly this. A great LB is a difference maker if the line in front of him is strong.  If the line sucks, there’s only so much the LB can do.

From what i can see the last DT taken in the Top 10 that really became a beast was Aaron Donald.  Leonard Williams, Quinnen Williams, Ed Oliver, Solomon Thomas, Vita Vea, Daron Payne, Jonathan Allen, Danny Shelton, just some of the Top Ten prospect Interior Linemen who never pan out as anything more than above average at best, after several years of seasoning.  Better off grabbing those types in the 2nd or later rounds which will get you similar results. 

Take the LB Isaiah Simmons. Much greater chance of being a top player in the NFL than yet another average DT taken in the Top 10.
