LB not named Simmons to watch out for in the Draft

I like what I am starting to see--people starting to think beyond the mainstream, overhyped names.  I have been a fan of Simmons, but the more I watch, the less impressed I get.  He is very versatile, but I am not sure that SS would not be a better spot for him.  He is good at a lot of things, not overwhelming at any one thing.  Help me out--am I over analyzing it?

Jacob Phillips is one of my favorite targets when doing mock drafts. Hes mainly in the 3-5 range, wide opinions. If there in the 5th, its one of those "steals". I believe he could start too, which is the main reason I target him. My early focus is on DL, DL, CB, and DL.

I've been hying Jordyn Brooks for a while now. Projected 3rd-4th round on average. I have seen him as high as a late 2nd rounder.  A seek and destroy type of LB.

He will start in the NFL by year 3.  I think he could be there in the fourth.  It would be  steal.

Now I don't agree with @MHS831 that Simmons is a SS.. But I do agree with him not liking to take on Olinemen Especially guards alot.. I see him as a OLB that you use as versatile chess piece that lines up every where and not a MLB like Luke...

He should be there for our second pick...if we want him.

Good possiblity for our 3rd pick as well.

Like pointed above, I was told to watch.  Anyone with any sort of red flag is really going to drop due to the covid 19 and teams unable to do the vetting and bringing guys in.

Daniel Jeremiah just said he is shooting up the boards and will probably go early second round. I got to see him play, and he has as good a skill set as any linebacker in this draft. As far as off the field issues, his is due to a complete lack of maturity. Once that comes, he's a monster. Jeremiah also said his interviews have been great. He'd be a great fit here, but he would have to be our second pick.

If we could grab this guy in the second and a certain CB or DT in the first, I would be happy.

Im wanting a defensive draft because that's our biggest weakness.

1. Brown, DT LSU

2. Willie Gay, LB Miss State. He is getting the same questions as Jeffrey Simmons last year. When Simmons got on the field he was unstoppable last year. Tennessee got a steal. The same is going to happen with Gay. He will be an all pro within 2 years.

3. Best CB available

4. Best S available.

5 and later. Any combination of OG, TE and DL
