LB not named Simmons to watch out for in the Draft

Kid has off the field issues but would probably have ended up a 1st rounder if he hadn't.

This isnt Mr Richardson's team anymore, and Tepper will be willing to give a guy a 2nd chance.

Willie Gay Jr has Matt Rhule spelled all over him.  Rhule likes those physical freaks at LB see Hassan Reddick at Temple now with the Cardinals.

Daniel Jeremiah just said he is shooting up the boards and will probably go early second round. I got to see him play, and he has as good a skill set as any linebacker in this draft. As far as off the field issues, his is due to a complete lack of maturity. Once that comes, he's a monster. Jeremiah also said his interviews have been great. He'd be a great fit here, but he would have to be our second pick.

I think any other year, he would shoot up there where Jeremiah thinks.

His interviews were great, but theyve been limited.  Theyve been zoom interviews, no one has been able to bring him in etc.

I know guys who have been saying this draft is going to be odd.  Because you're going to see guys with Medical red flags, off the field red flags, and small school guys really drop because of this covid 19 due to the limited interaction with  the guys.

Any one that gets suspended for a year, teams are going to have questions about him.  He may interview great but they can't bring him inside the building and see how he interacts with other people.  He seems uber talented but I would go with Jordan Brooks or Akeem Daivs-Gaither before Gay.

Brooks ran at the combine with a busted knee, the only question I would have for him is "would you tell us if your leg was falling off and you couldn't play or would you just play with 1 leg?"

He was suspended 8/13 games for allowing a tutor to take a test. No getting around it, but in the games he played flashed brilliance. He is a good kid who is immature and made a terrible decision. He paid for it with a suspension. His highlights speak for themselves. He has a skill set rarely seen from a guy his size. You would be very happy if he was on our team.

Just now, Jared Patterson said:

Rhule wants real "high character guys" Love Gay, but idk if Rhule will take him from a new culture standpoint.

Remember when looking at prospects: Rhule has stated several times he wants "high character" and "speed"

He is 6'3" 240 and ran a 4.45. Someone is getting a steal.

Would you take him over Queen and Murray?
