"Unmasked" on hold

Understandable for sure, and also buying a little of the "convenient" conspiracy note there as well. A reality show that "baited" a lot of people into thinking Cam was staying, the ensuing release and drama, etc.?  Basically opening yourself up to all of the hate no matter what direction the show took next because you can't ignore the elephant in the room, but there's also no good way to film the next couple of episodes while ignoring it.

The show was a good idea and I loved the All or Nothing season that Amazon did...but let's just worry about getting the football team in order before we start tossing our Kardashian style TV shows. All for expanding the brand and being behind the scenes, but this is also the worst possible time to pull back the curtain with the loss of all of these guys, and a team that was tanking but not really but still kind of but nope we're mediocre again.

Here's the thing: Although Newton's release happened on March 24th (the same day the league announced they were closing all NFL facilities) the news that he was "being allowed" to seek a trade happened a week earlier on the 17th, and all of the discussions leading up to it - including Newton's physical and the team's meetings with his people - would have been prior to that.

So basically, if they were just following people around and filming them as they suggested, they should have had film of what was happening in the weeks prior to the actual announcement and the facilities closing. Granted, their video production people can't come to the facility, but they're still finding ways to do other things like the videos they've posted on Twitter.

My question right now would be whether that footage exists, and if so whether it will ever see the light of day.

My answers to those two questions would be "probably yes" and "I seriously doubt it".

Hence, while the word right now is that Unmasked is "on hold", I wouldn't put any money on it coming back.

But even if it does, don't be surprised if they skip a certain time period.

Oh yeah it’s definitely a bad look. I wonder though if perhaps even the production team wasn’t informed on Cams eventual release.

Leads me to believe that Tepper and the FO were either lying the whole time or Cam and the team had some issue at the last minute.
