Hurney declines to get into the reasoning for the decision to trade Cam Newton (and ultimately release him), says they let Newton know as soon as they made the decision.

Sounds like the Panthers personnel will draft from their respective homes, as the plan stands now, using video conferencing etc., but multiple scenarios are being discussed and that could change.

To correct what new Panthers WR Robby Anderson said last week about Carolina beginning offseason workouts today with virtual video conferences, that isn't happening. The league sent a memo to teams saying options still are being considered.

Hurney says he got an email from LAC with the trade proposal. Says it was "very hard to trade Trai" but that Okung gives them a LT with that level of talent was something they couldn't pass up. Said it gives Greg Little a chance to improve and that he's not worried about him.
