I'm not looking for the next Cam Newton when we can win with somebody a little better than Jake Delhomme.

QB is so important we've got to put ourselves out there and get one.

So what's going to happen?  (in your opinion)

Who will be the Panthers starting QB in 2021?

If he dropped to us( and it’s possible he falls much farther, like 2nd round— don’t laugh or naysay. People discount just how serious his injury was and teams can’t do the proper examinations— ie like Cam), and we were confident on the injury being ok then you take him.

I may be wrong but I'm almost sure they draft a potential franchise QB this year, so to me Teddy has a 40% chance of starting a whole season IMO. Marty was in Oregon while others were quarantine ing. If he drafts that guy he's starting no question.

I'd be careful to pay too much attention to what the organization says if I were Ted because at any time they could flip the script. History has already shown that.

It's almost like, why wife a woman who cheated on her husband with you? She's done it before, I wouldn't be surprised if she did it again.

Good stuff.

I'm on the other side of that trade, will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I'm not so sure. If we draft Herbert, then IMO that Teddy signing was all about building a bridge between the Cam era and the Herbert era. That Oregon offense doesn't have Herbert all that well prepared for the NFL IMO. He'd be a prime candidate for sitting and learning for a year.

Whats his W-L again as a starter?

Allen’s were pretty good ... for awhile too, yes

if Tua is there, take him And Brady likes him, take him . Lawerence will not be INreach for the panthers next year

if the defense is bad, who cares. It’s been declining for years   Years and years the money spent on defense while the QB got his head bashed in.

no more freaking ‘developmental’ QBs.  They are either good enough under pressure to win In the nfl or they aren’t. Pick a QB who has actually WON in the big time  no freaking Blaine gabberts

That kid is playing. A high draft pick at QB no longer has the luxury of sitting. If he is drafted he's a day one guy. The only rookie QB that wouldn't have to learn is Burrow anybody else has to learn the system. If they draft the future its all about development and game reps. Fun.

I wouldn't be so sure of it, especially if there's an abbreviated off-season program which looks like a near certainty. If the kid ain't ready, you're not doing him or the team any favors by throwing him out there.

If true must be less than a handful of teams with the desire and a corresponding pick/need....

....which 2 or 3 teams are your sources accruing said subterfuge to?

Nobody's mentioned any specific team.

It's all just speculation, but it's consistent with what usually happens around draft time.

It’s a fabricated story put out by at least two teams that want him to fall. why would a team that doesn’t want him let this get out? They should want people to take him. And the lone source for this is Mike Lombardi. LOL. So 30 teams passed him? Or did certain teams just happen to let an “old buddy” carry the water for them.

If he did fall to 7, which I seriously doubt, I think the Panthers would be crazy to pass him up.

There other report out there about failing his injuries. Not his hip, but his wrist, said that members form his group lied about it. Lombardi is your normal "shock" insider, not one to get out the stone tools, but he does have legit sources. I believe his son works for the panthers now too.

.

He has “sources” and they choose what to tell a guy desperate to keep up.

What I saw today was a guy less than 6 months away from surgery and moving around quite well.
