Sal Paolantonio “The Panthers are going to win a Super Bowl with Matt Rhule"

He obviously has an ability to spot talent in lesser rated talent, turning around 2 floundering programs with leftovers speaks for itself.

Whether or not that ability translates to the NFL is the question that remains to be answered, hitting on picks in the later rounds is crucial to building a winning team with depth.

I’ll be shocked if we win 4 games with out cam . I love this team but this is looking like 2010 all over we don’t have any stars other then mccaffrey . Caff can’t do it all we need some more offensive playmakers . It’s a team sport . Instead of dwelling over dline get a play maker and get dline in round 2 or 3.

I'm not ready to anoint him before he even fields a team in the NFL.  I think comparisons to BB are complete hyperbole at this point.  Basically, the Matt Rhule experiment can go one of two ways:  Chip Kelly or Pete Carroll.  Obviously, I'm hoping for Pete, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Chip.  Only time will tell.

Nice to hear but lemme tell ya a funny little story about Sal and his predictions:

back during the 2015 preseason I had the chance to sit in the press box for our third preseason game against the Pats. All the big  media members were there as it was the marquee preseason game that day. Sal sat right behind me and he was telling everyone within ten feet how inept the 2015 Panthers offense was going to be. "How are you going to score?!". Remember this was on the heels of losing Kelvin Benjamin for the season and his assessment honestly wasn't all that crazy. But he was adamant the Panthers were in for a very long season in 2015. Of course we know Cam and Co. went on to scorch the league all the way to the SB.

Would it be great to have just hired a Belichick for the start of a dynasty? Yes. But I guess we’re stuck waiting to find out for now.

Awesome, but we need our Tom Brady. I’ll give you a hint, it’s not Teddy. The sooner we realize that that’s the only way to get it, the sooner we can get over the 7-9 and no playoff wins average we’ve had for the past four years. Marty’s not the guy and he’s putting us further away from our franchise QB.

Paolantonio also said prior to the NFC championship game against the Eagles that it was a "stone cold lead pipe lock"  the Eagles were going to the Super Bowl.

He's a homer for all things Philly. Rhule's time at Temple therefore qualifies him.

You can put Cam in this equation. He has lost 8 straight games & there is a reason he is no longer on the team.  As good as he was, the injuries took a toll and I am afraid he will never be the same player.

I think the offense will do enough to win games with Teddy & the new system. The Panthers now have three legit speedy receivers to help the passing game & Moore just came off a 1000+ yard season with Kyle Allen.  Pretty sure we can call him a playmaker at this point.

The defense is going to be the determining factor for wins & losses. The Panthers need defensive playmakers & will look to build the defense through the draft.
