Cant wait for us to pick Kinlaw over Brown, watch the huddle implode, and eventually see everyone eat crow or pretend they wanted Kinlaw all along.

Let the records show I’ve been saying Kinlaw is my guy for months lol. I don’t watch college ball or have a college team really (my family is a UNC family, but I don’t follow college) so I don’t have a bias.  I could be wrong but Kinlaw seems like a better pro than Brown to me. But I do like Brown as well.

Kinlaw has more upside.

But right now, Brown is vastly a more dominant DT.

Yea, right now that all we have is college play. I think Kinlaw will be a better pro. We’ll see though, not taking away from Brown, he looks great.

I think Kinlaw will be a better pro as well, if he takes to coaching.  Some guys, whether it be they are to stubborn, don't like the way they are being coached, or just are not smart enough to understand what the coaches are telling them, don't take NFL coaching well.  Kinlaw doesn't seem to be one of those kind of guys but you never know.  Even if he is the same guy he was at SC and never improves he is probably the best interior pass rusher in this draft.  But if he does take to coaching well and learns how to use all the talent he has, he will probably be the best player to come out of this draft, not DT, just player.

Having said that Brown can walk on the field and be a top 20 DT in this league tomorrow and never needs to get better.  If he does he does not have the ceiling of Kinlaw, but he could be Kris Jenkins with a better motor.  That's pretty damn good to.

I don't understand the whole argument of Brown having the higher floor and being the safer player. IMO both players have high floors and high ceilings, with Kinlaw's being higher due to his freakish measurables and athleticism.

I think Brown is getting the Solomon Thomas treatment like when everyone freaked out about his performance against UNC. Yes, Brown dominated a great LSU O-Line, but that was one game. Go watch the rest of the available game film from 2019 for Kinlaw and Brown, and it looks clear that Kinlaw is the consistently better player (and he did it with a cast of nobody's around him). The only thing I would say Brown has over Kinlaw might be ball awareness on misdirection plays.

I remember hearing during the combine that pretty much every SEC offensive lineman when asked their toughest matchup said Brown.  That says a lot.

I'm not saying I would automatically pick him at 7, it would depend on who else is there, and what trade down offers I had, but I think he is a lot safer pick then Kinlaw.

I do have some concern about his ability to rush the passer at the next level, but I still think he has a great chance of being a quality pro for the next 10 years.  The issue is you can find run stuffing DTs later easier than some other positions.

Personally I think it is terrible not to draft a WR this year.  The class is loaded.  There are going to be some good pros in that 2-3 round range.  Also WR is a high value position that has heavy influence on winning.
