14 Playoff Teams

A 2 seed would host wild card weekend, Divisional round weekend, and potential NFC/AFC title game if #1 seed is upset. I hope teams offer a 2 for 3 deal if you pay up front or something, I get sick at the idea if my team is the two seed I might have to drop more then the cost of my season tickets for 3 games in 3 weeks.

Suddenly that bye week in the playoffs just got more precious and more teams have a shot at the prize.

If they can work out some equitable pay for the players, then hooray for everyone!

This new format should definitely lead to more 3-7 seeds making and winning the SB than before, that’s the only thing I really like about it.

I’m pretty opposed to adding playoff spots in any professional sports league generally speaking. 
 

Some leagues have more teams make the playoffs than miss. It overall just devalues the regular season. Making the playoffs should be a serious accomplishment in itself. Not a big fan.

In my mind, it is just another example of the league fixing things that aren't broken.  But that is why I am primarily an NHL fan anymore, and my interest in the NFL does not extend much further than the Panthers.

This is just dumb. Either go to 16 teams and have half the league make the playoffs with no bye. Or stick with the original format. Stop fuging with the game so much.
