What players would have to still be on the board for you to not want a trade down

Sorry if this was already discussed, didn’t see anything.

So which players still available at 7(assuming we don’t trade up) would make a trade down out of the question. For me it’s only four guys;

1) Chase Young

2) Isaiah Simmons

3) Jeffery Okudah

4) Joe Burrow

Of the potentials, IMO Brown, Wills, Wirfs, Okudah, and Simmons are all worthy of the #7 overall pick. There's no chance they'll all be gone. Now with that said, you have 10 minutes on the clock. If you're getting calls there's no reason not to listen. You never know when Marty Hurney might call you with a reckless offer. Oh wait...

I'm torn. If Hurney wasn't here I would say trade down and get more players in this draft. With him still here, I remain skeptical. Added to the fact that we have so little valuable NFL experience involved this offseason, I just hope they keep it simple and take good football players that can contribute and get playing time this year in the first 3 rounds. If we trade up then we will be set back another year, just like last year.

I don't really care about the talent drop off trading back from the 7th pick this year. We have a lot of needs and will be picking in the top 10 next year at the least, very possibly the year after also. There just is not anybody involved with the process that I know makes great NFL decisions and nothing so far this offseason has changed that yet.

Hard to say without knowing specifics of the offer

Burrow, Tua (if confident about medical), Young, Okuda, and Simmons I have a bit ahead of everyone else.

What if the question was more specific,

If Raiders offered picks 12 and 19 for our 7 and 38, what players would have to be on the board for you not to take it?

In that situation, maybe Burrow, Tua, Young and Okuda and I might change my mind on Okuda depending on how much I like the next few CBs on my board.

We are not trading down.

geez, we haven’t had a real LT since Jordan Gross and now we have a chance to get one,..

DT, CB, and a LB/Safety,..

If they ALL were still there,.. like if the first 6 picks were all QB ha,... then you could afford to trade back and take whichever is left.

thats ridiculous.

I'm not that big a fan of trading down in this draft.

There are plenty of good players expected to be available at number seven.

Is that you Hurney? :)

Actually a lot of GMs fall into that thinking, but history probably tells us otherwise.

Is you chance of helping your team with pick 7, really that much better than 12 and 60?

Picking the best player and adding the most talent to your team is two different things.
