If we don’t trade down...Brown will be our pick.

I listed him. Im not arguing he isn't a really good player. He is my third option after Okudah and Simmons, but he isn't in their class

He your third option. Not everyone’s. So statements like “I can promise you” is ridiculous.

How did a guy who was the focal point of every game plan, double and triple teamed, flat out held still avg about 3 pressure a game with ANY pass rush skills? Against the best OLs in CFB.

I see three possibilities based off how the draft falls: Okudah, Simmons, or Brown. I believe that the pick will be Brown even if all three were to be available for us to select at 7.

While I like Simmons for similar reasons related to the defensive backfield,  I get it.  Thanks for putting this together.  Strong.

I cannot say Brown would not be awesome.  So would Simmons.  I still think Okudah would be the pick if those three are available.

He's great but I'm not gonna act like he is the only option. There are quite a few guys that I'd be thrilled about adding.

We’re likely going to be adding whoever’s left. Unless there’s a huge QB run, we won’t be choosing among the 3 often mentioned. Maybe we’ll pick one of two, but more likely it will be the last one left of the 3.

I would be SHOCKED if any team has him before Simmons or Okudah in terms of best available, Ill put it that way

And that’s going to be more a question of need for any top 10 teams. I think both are great. But your “opinions” are basically just whoever’s you read last.

So now all the QBs and all other quality players will be gone? Can't be both. If the QBs slip, then there is your chance to snag one of those. Either way, we will get a key piece.

Teams don't usually draft for need in the top 10. They draft best available

They draft BPA with respect to their needs.

The Panthers had a HOF LB and a CB who just got top CB money last year. And no 0/1 technique to stop the run. How did that turn out?

I would love Okudah but I really think Brown will have a much bigger impact on our team this year and will have a better NFL career. I would be extremely happy with any of the three but Brown is such an old school high motor freak that would be a huge piece to fix our issues against the run. We can sign Cockrell, and draft a CB in round 2 to help fix our issues in the secondary.

Your secondary is only as good as your weakest link.

Hard to gameplan for a gamewrecking 330lb lineman. The impact is felt every play because it takes two guys to block him.
