He’s gonna develop into a really good QB. Trust me.

You're both right. Haskins is going to need time and a good OL. Feel sorry for him, having Ron and Co. around. We see the help Cam got in that department. Kids got it though. Once he fine tunes some of his pocket stuff I think he'll be a real steady QB who can make plays.

Reading between the lines.  He thinks Allen has a "live arm" LMAO

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/03/30/ron-rivera-well-go-into-camp-believing-dwayne-haskins-is-the-starter/

Washington head coach Ron Rivera has talked about having a competition for the starting quarterback job since taking the job early this year.

He’s talked about a healthy Alex Smith potentially being a foil for Dwayne Haskins and left the door open for the team to draft a quarterback in April. The team traded for one of Rivera’s former Panthers quarterbacks in Kyle Allen last week and Rivera put him into the competition pool, although he added that Haskins would go into such a competition in the No. 1 spot.

“That’s what we’re going into camp believing, but they’re going to compete,” Rivera said on WFNZ, via Football Morning in America. “We really like what we have in terms of our young quarterbacks. Kyle a young guy who has a live arm, understands the game, understands how we do things, so I’m excited about what the potential could be.”

Allen started more games than Haskins during the 2019 season, but doesn’t have the perceived upside that comes with Haskins being a first-round pick last year. While that pick was made by a different regime in Washington, it sounds like it still gives him a leg up going into next season.

Ron remembers he had them at 5-3 and they should've beat the Saints. Ron loves the past.

The reason I wouldn't be surprised if that happened

The Book of Daniel

Honestly, he's the reason I would be surprised if that happened.

Word was that Snyder is the guy who wanted Haskins. Jay Gruden and his staff didn't.

With that said, the word now is that Snyder has handed the keys to the kingdom over to Ron Rivera. If Rivera truly does have full power, who knows?

Power in the Reskins organization is a very fleeting thing, unless your last name is Snyder.

Somebody once defined control as being able to take charge of something that is running amok, putting it back on the rails, and then relinquishing it to those who are charged with keeping it running.  Snyder apparently heard that.  He likes to take something that may be on the rails but not moving as fast as he wants, thoroughly screwing it up, and then giving the mess to someone new to try and straighten out.  By that time the thing is not only not on the rails, the rails are dislodged, too.

    • I like that a lot; Ware from Troy and also Khalil Mack who played at University of Buffalo
    • I remember the Huddle consensus over the course of last season and the previous one. Lots of Bryce is a bust, we should've drafted a 4th slot WR, should've kept Wilks, should've kept an armless Cam, etc etc. So... yea... already thought about that. I wouldn't trust the Huddle to detail my car, let alone run a multi-billion dollar professional sports team. 😛
    • bold prediction, I think Mike Green will be the best pass rusher in this class, and thats even with abdul carter.  He reminds me of demarcus ware, not just in size and prowess, but even coming from a Sunbelt school (Ware from Troy, Green from Marshall).  I think he is passionate about the sport where I think Carter as the physical freak might not have the heart.  Thats the guy Im sold on and am gonna hammer the table for, I know he's not projected 8, but he is projected like 12-13, so if a slide back can happen and we still get the guy I want, I'm 100% on board. All that said, it takes 2 to tango, I think the Cowboys are the tango-er.  IMO theres a VERY good shot that Jeanty is available at 8.  Why does that matter?  Not only do the cowboys NEED a runningback (dak sucks without a run game), but MORE importantly, gee where did Jeanty play in high school.....Frisco TX, literally Dallas Metro.  Soo, RB is a position of need and the best RB and most blue chip draft selection that  could improve the offense immensly played IN dallas metro AND will be in range for them to move up and pick?  Do ya think Jerry Jones is gonna just say no to the Jersey Sales?  Jerry might have sexually assaulted a woman and attempted to prevent black people from going to school, but he's no idiot (he is).  IMO, we get a good enough package, prlly their first and third,  maybe a conditional later and we move to 12.  We get Green, they get Jeanty, everbuddy happy.
