Why Javon Kinlaw isn't a bad option..

They man him up more then Brown.. But he still had penetration..

Not as technically sound as Brown or strong but he is a big boy who can make ppl move.. He also has some violent hands...

He needs some good coaching.. A year learning from KK will be a blessing for him. Right now he just Raw power you point in a direction and tell him go... He needs to work on his leverage game.

This game made me see why Brown is the better player.. Kinlaw is a trade down option.. He needs work.. He gave up a few times after his 1st move didn't work.. And just stood there.. His motor isn't like Brown's.

We have obsessed over DT for long enough.

It would be such a Panther thing to do to ignore positions of need for the easiest lineman position to buy in FA.

Get over yourself.. Going by the player rankings if it falls that way DT isn't a bad position.. Especially with our pitiful run defense...

And let's remember.. It wasn't a bunch FA DT that gave us a strong Defense.. It was 2 draft picks (Kk, Star)..

I personally don't want Kinlaw at 7. If we trade back to mid or late first round and get him I'm happy, but I'd rather take a top talent at 7 or even brown

Yeah, looking at the draft as it likely unfolds, if we stay at 7, picking Kinlaw would be almost the worse case scenario. It means guys like Brown, Simmons, Okudah, and Tua have been scarfed up already.

Wouldn't be a fan of this knowing the top end talent this year. If we could trade into the mid first and add another 1st round pick next year then I'd be okay with it

Oh yes after watching more of these snap by snap videos.. It's clear why Brown is the top guy and Kinlaw is a trade down option..

Kinlaw is my favorite defensive prospect. Would be happy with Brown as well.
