Social Security Recipients WON’T Have To File Taxes To Get Coronavirus Stimulus Checks

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/social-security-recipients-taxes-coronavirus-stimulus-checks_n_5e8532efc5b6f55ebf479ff3

They're gonna use the Social Security information on file to direct deposit or mail the stimulus payment, the same as you would get your benefits. No tax filing needed. Someone came to their senses.

I was at Lowe’s last week and the guy I talked to said they would stay open because they are essential. Yeah right. Lowe’s isn’t essential. Especially when people are not supposed to be leaving their houses. That includes going to Lowe’s for 12 bag of mulch. Lowe’s understands that a lot of people are cooped up inside and now have the time to finally get those projects done. It’s bullshit. I feel bad for those people working.

While I agree that Lowes shouldn't be open (to the general public), it is deemed vital to construction, which is not going to be shut down.  The people going in there for herbs, mulch, and sprinklers shouldn't be allowed in.  If you don't have a GC license, or can't prove that you work in active construction, you should be turned away at the door.

And I too feel bad for the workers, but I'm sure that many of them are happy to have jobs still.

Can't entirely agree.

Everyday people still have things happen like water pipes breaking, etc. Basically, stuff that needs to be fixed right now.

That's true, but pavers, mulch, paint, etc....isn't quite the same.

Not really sure how to handle this, no one is, but I do wish people would have a little more empathy...until recently, you would not believe how little Wilmington has paid attention to this.

My propane tank was empty yesterday morning, so I called the local company who fills the tank and scheduled a delivery. Wife said she had been smelling gas from around the range in the kitchen, but I never really smelled anything strong enough to be propane... or so I thought.

Guy comes out to fill the tank and, because it's empty, has to pressure test it before he can fill it. Guess what- it fails 3 pressure tests and I have a pretty good idea where the leak is. Fortunately, the leak is small enough the CO detectors in the house didn't even pick up on it. Here's the problem-the gas company is not doing any interior service calls. We have access to a couple electric 2-burner mini cook tops, but c'mon.....

For some reason, Intercoastal Angler on Oleander Dr has a big "We're Open" sign out front.

That looks like a pretty sweet store, one id love to spend some time in but they don’t need to be open right now, at least not in person.

Any chance you can fix it your self and have them test it again?
