hate to lose bradbury & addison...and I like irvin for depth

the rest can go

(sorry greg, hope you dont get hurt early)

I hate losing Addison more.  Bradberry never thought he was a Number 1 corner,  but we are short why I was hoping Okudah might be available and have a shot at him.  I would take Fulton or Diggs if he wasn't available.

Well that will help our comp picks.  Wait. Seems we don’t care about comp picks.  Never mind.

We could have easily gotten all 4 picks but Seth Roberts and Burris and Anderson (before the deepest WR draft ever) on 1 or 2 year deals was more important than 3 rookies in 2021 on very cheap deals. At some point we actually need more draft picks on the hope that we can make more than 1 good pick a year.

I have come to hate the Bills.  Some may find it amusing they're always poaching or signing former Panthers but I find it extremely annoying and hope they crash and burn.  Just watch, they're going to sign Cam too.

This front office has absolutely no clue what it's doing.

The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

I’m the exact opposite. It was our fault letting go of McDermott and Beane. They seem to be building something good up there and I wish any ex Panthers player the best if they decide to go play somewhere and get payed. Can’t blame a player for leaving a poorly ran, rebuilding franchise.

The Bills have gotten me through the past two years and are my second favorite team because they are pretty much the Panthers of the North.

Williams is just depth and might not even make the team because they are returning their entire OL.

Hey we cleared out a bunch of underperforming, old players. Im loving the new regime. Just wish theyd bring in a serious GM.

I am liking what I have seen so far as well. Giving lots of hungry young guys a chance to compete.

if Rivera was still here I guarantee we would have resigned Williams & over paid for Bradberry.

I am glad the panthers are moving on from aging veterans.

People talk themselves out of comp picks by stating "they probably won't turn into anything anyway", which is true.  What the chance of that 6th rounder becoming a quality starter, its actually very low.

but

If you have enough of them you sooner or later get lucky.  Maybe you only hit on 1/5 comp picks, that's still one player on a cost controlled contract for 4 years.  Also that comp pick doesn't have to turn into a great player, even if he is quality back up for 4 years that's not a bad thing.  Here again it is a very cheap 4 year deal.  That is money that can be spent on proven free agents.

An example would be someone like David Mayo, 5th rounder that was a decent back up, on a very cheap 4yr contract.  Since you have him for 4 years he knows your system.  After his 4 years were up he signed with someone else and that could have netted a 7th comp pick if played correctly. There is value in that for a team.

Another use of comp pics is in the trade market.  Some teams, especially the Patriots, love to use late round picks to trade for experienced guys with 1-2 years left on decent contracts.  So you take a 6th round pick, that probably won't turn into an average starter and trade for a proven guy on a cost controlled contract for a year or two.  Now you have filled a need without overpaying in free agency or screwing up your future comp picks.

The #Bills signed OT Daryl Williams to a one-year, $2.25 million deal that includes just $250K guaranteed. Max $2.5M with incentives. Low-risk move by Buffalo brass, which knows Williams well and plans to move him back to his natural spot on right side.
