Is this argument still going on?

Y'all broke up for a reason. She ain't coming back. Need to see other people. Get out of the basement and quit moping. Plenty of fish in the sea. Better off without her. Be prepared when she sees other people that this is the new normal. We're going to be fine.

There.

Can we just move on?

LOL!

Well with that logic Teddy Bridgewater has never been a good Quarterback.

True. i never said he was. I only spoke to his 2019 numbers. And I stated it was a small sample size. I simply stated his 2019 did not suck. Which is true.

Cam was elite up until the Steelers game. I believe for the entire first half of the season until he took that vicious hit right on his throw shoulder from the younger Watt brother. I did not say the *entirety* of the 2018 season I said as *recently* as 2018

Again Cam was not elite in 2018. He started 14 games and he should be judged on 14 games.  But you want to pick and chose.

if Cam was elite in 2018 so was Bridgewater in 2019 - just compare the numbers.  But I don't consider half seasons to be "elite."

Cam's shoulder was bothering him even early in 2018. It wasn't just the Watt hit.  It was, unfortunately, more than that. :(

As you stated:

If we really wanted to extrapolate from 5 games to 16, Teddy would have thrown for ~4400 yards, ~29 TDs, ~6 or 7 INTs.   Would still take a healthy Cam, but let's not be deliberately obtuse about 2019.  It was an impressive 5 games overall.

Tell me. has Cam ever had anything near those stats? And those are your words not mine. Yes or No will do.

Cam has exceeded those stats multiple times.  Perhaps not in yards thrown, but in terms of total TDs , TD%, and INT%, as well as total yards, yes.  He has accounted for 28 touchdowns every season he has been in the league but 2016. Bridgewater had a good 5 game stretch in 2019, a very good one - arguably elite according to Mr Mojo Risin :) - but Cam's career other than injuries had been amazing.

First Cam has never exceeded those numbers if you extrapolate TBs numbers as Mr Mojo stated. Again he said it , not me. here are Cam's TOTAL TD totals. And by the way Cam's career INT % is a joke.

24 - 2016

28 - 2017
30 - 2018
0 - 2019

So it wasnt "every season".

You're right - not every season.  Just the majority of them.  Cam, when healthy, was better than Bridgewater nearly every single season he played in terms of total TDs, and that is with the offense he had around him.  Not saying Bridgewater is bad - I'm rooting for him.

Cam's total TDs by season, leaving off injured 2019

2011 - 35

2012 - 27

2013 - 30

2014 - 23

2015 - 45 (!)

2016 - 24

2017 - 28

2018 - 28

Bridgewater's totals, by season, leaving off injured years and where he was just a bkacup

2014 - 15

2015 - 17

2019 - 9

Cam's career INT is 2.7%, which is not particularly bad.  Bridgewater's is 2.3%, but given how little he has played, hard to know if that will go up (to be more similar to Minnesota) or down (to be more similar to NO).

In total, Cam has had multiple seasons that are at least as good as Bridgewater was in 2019, IMO.  Prior to his injuries, Cam was something quite special.

Fair.... Wow!....we agree!

What is funny is if Cam does land a starting gig somewhere, it will be for a much smaller contract than he was asking for.  Yet the first time he runs for a first down or throws a TD pass, the huggers will be coming out of the woodwork.

You do not pay $30m unless you know what you have.  Period.  Now take your posters off the ceiling above your beds and blow out the candles in your closet shrine to Cam.  Time to move on.

"And the Panthers have won the Super Bowl with Teddy Bridgewater!"

Does anyone think we'll ever hear that? No? Then draft a QB.

We don't know. Stranger things have happened. What we do know is we haven't won one with any previous QBs.
