I got over missing him when he lost 9 games in a row

Y’all do realize there’s a Head-coach, Defense, and ST unit right ? But naw let’s just lump those losses on cam equivalent to me saying something irrational like cmc loss us 8 games in a row last year

No one mention loyalty but your post indicates since he made millions he should just shut up and be happy, doesn’t work that way and never should. It is a business and bad business deserves criticism, Idk where you get the notion that your bank acct status should void any opinions you have about a previous employer or the even more concerning part that being a paid athlete makes you different than anyone else

He was here 9 years and made tens of millions. He has played long enough to know that if you can't produce in this league you get replaced. That is the harsh reality of the NFL.  It is funny that many of the same people who were so excited to see Rivera fired and reveled in the news are now pissed that the new coaches cleaned house. That is what happens. You got what you wanted. I don't remember everyone so.pissed about Rivera being canned. Yet anyone with a modicum of understanding would know that when a new coach comes in he wants his own guy.  That is the justification everyone said Tepper would use for canning Rivera and Hurney. But OCs shouldn't have their guy at QB?

Derek Carr must be the worst Quarterback of ALL TIME then, dude's been in the league 6 years and hasn't had a winning season.

All he's done in those 6 seasons is complete 64% of his passes for 22,793 yards 143 Tds 62 INTs with a 90.7 QBR.

Judging a Qb strictly by Wins and Losses has got to be the silliest thing someone can do, BUT it is something I expect a CASUAL football fan to do, (you know the fans that don't really have a high football IQ) so I totally understand why you think that way, but it's not a very intelligent way of thinking.

I don't think you are alone. To.me the best approach is take a wait and see attitude and save the bitching for later in the year when it might be well deserved.

fair enough

Then, as the billionaire owner with ‘brass balls’  who wants his own imprint, tell you former star  in dec or Jan or feb that you are going a different way

it is truly not that hard to be a decent human being

And how is moving on from a player who wins 8 games in 2 years or 32 possible games and was paid 5 million a win make Tepper a terrible human being.  Seems he was patient with Cam to this point IMO and released him now instead of keeping until after the draft when a trade would be even harder. Rhule made this decision and Tepper gave him control.  I don't know who is pulling the strings. Do you?

Idk what you are getting at you’re shifting to a different argument, if he was notified properly and released I’m sure there wouldn’t be any backlash, since that’s not the case, he was blindsided and we didn’t notify him until well into fa when teams have already made moves at qb, and to try and paint the picture that he wanted a trade is disingenuous no matter how you cut it, so him having a opinion on that is well warranted,

as far as Rivera don’t no how that relates to this issue he got a presser in which he threw a little shade and we didn’t wait until week 1-2 to fire him, I personally am not filled with joy watching another grown man lose his job, but I did agree it was time to move on. Rhule and his staff have every right to employ who they believe will get them to where they need to be, but to lie about a situation to fans isn’t acceptable on any level unless it’s some kind of gamesmanship, which it wasn’t

I wonder if Cam wants to pay back the 40 million he received over the past 2 years. Sure he is angry at the team but how long are they supposed to hang on handing him 20 million plus per year to not play. Honestly I hope he recovers but am not angry the Panthers moved on. This is the way it goes in the NFL.

Couldn’t have been said any better!! I liked Cam but time to move on!  Great post!!

The panthers quit on him and kicked him to the curb like yesterday’s garbage. It was extremely unprofessional and a real slap in the face. I am a fan of the Panthers first or foremost, so I won’t dump the Panthers like they did to QB1, but giving up on him will be a decision that haunts the panthers for a very long time.

also, fug Marty Hurney.

It was absolutely professional...
