Newton physical not sufficient for teams.

So don’t kill the messenger on this one.  
I was listening to Mike Florio on the radio today and the guys were asking him about since he passed a physical where he thought he might end up.  He said that he doesn’t believe it was a substantial physical.  Yes they looked at his foot and shoulder but that both sides wanted out of this deal.

“The Panthers wanted him to pass and Cam wanted to pass it” He said that is done when  both sides do not want a release without an injury designation.  

He said that if a team was interested in him they would do a completely different physical.  

Bottom line since teams can’t give him one of their physicals right now he may not sign for a bit.  

I’m not sure if this is true or not. But it will be interesting to follow. 
 

Wherever he goes I hope he balls out.

He may not get signed for a bit.  And honestly, the draft may get pushed back so we all may just be sitting with this current state for a bit.

There's a difference between being in shape and being in game shape. I would assume the same applies to physicals as well. 

Not a really big shock that teams probably wouldn't just take his word for it.

It would be crazy if he ended up having to sign with an XFL team to prove he is healthy.  Doubt it would come to that point though. Some team is going to give him a chance.

I think Cam is going to wait to sign with a team midseason after their starter goes down because he won't agree to sign anywhere unless he is starting.  Then, he'll try to play well for half a season in hopes of signing a bigger contract at years end.

He released a video while he was out of commission saying he could play but not how he wants to on his YouTube and it was maybe mid season. 
 

I think he is ready to go and even if not.. he can find a short term deal.

He will get signed. It might take someone getting hurt at camp, but he will get a chance... I could totally see him on the Steelers. Big Ben gets hurt easily, is getting up there in age and has a very similar style as Cam in the pocket.

I am not surprised. Any team that would want to have their doctors take a look with his injury history.

Still have a suspicion he doesn't play in the NFL again.  He could go the entertainer route and do pretty well.
