A contender with a seasoned HC? That's like saying all teams need QBs.

People are dumb. KC was used as an example of a turnaround and surrounding Mahomes with weapons. They seem to forget history where KC averaged a 10-6 record for years with Alex Smith. Also, Kelce and Fisher (LT) we’re drafted before Mahomes was in college. Reid was next level Nostradamus drafting those guys before he was in college and Hill while he was in college.

Then don't sign fuging Bridgewater.. Don't spend most of your FA money on offense and neglect the defense..

Its completely stupid to draft a QB after what they've done this offseason.. Plain and simple...

Just a question...

So we draft Herbert and still sucked and next year we have a chance at Lawrence...

What do you do at the point?? Not get Lawrence?? He would be the better QB right??

It may be a very long time before we get such a high draft pick. That's the only reason I'd pick a QB up in this draft. I'd much rather watch an unknown with upside (Herbert) than a known commodity who may have already maxed out.

I'm not absolutely sure they can achieve maximum suckage next season to get Trevor. Such a high pick and in my opinion has to be a QB if you don't have your future QB on the roster.

F' it. My new Panthers motto. Instead of Keep Pounding..............eh...f' it.

I think Panthers will not wait until next year to draft the QB of the future, but will do that this year by drafting Herbert and let him learn behind Bridgewater for a year (or two).  The rest of the draft picks will be used for Defense.

Marty has shown a lot of interest in Herbert.   Now he may be posturing for potential trade down opportunities to acquire more picks but I think the more likely scenario is that he gets drafted by the Panthers.

How would you feel about that if it happens?

Waste of a pick!! We have better needs!! Brown should be the pick!! Offense being addressed.. D needs help!!!

And it maybe next season.. I don't understand why ppl think this team is going to be a juggernaut.. We literally are building a defense from scratch... That's doesn't say winning team.. It is going to take a unbelievably offense to carry this defense this year..  Unless TB becomes Mahomes we will be in position to get a QB next year in a better QB draft...

If you draft a QB high this year.. Its a good chance you're drafting his replacement next year... Plain and simple...

The team has no idea what they're doing, but if we used the current moves as an indicator this might be the most idiotic thing they could do.

The defense is trash.

The OL hasn't gotten an upgrade.

hey look another clown!

given how bad our defense should be (which should limit our ability to win)....I think waiting until next year to go after a QB (Field, Lawerence, etc) makes the most sense.  Just a better crop of QBs.
