It’s not that far fetched, Rhule doesn’t see him as a number 1. He’s a number 1. He might ask for a trade, it may not happen until next year. But getting something for him instead of letting him walk as a UFA in 2022 seems plausible.

When has Rhule suggested this?

I have been a fan of this offseason, but trading Moore would be one of the dumbest moves in this franchise's history.

And that is saying something.  We'd need a 1st round pick in return at least.

Moore is a great route runner and is perfect fit for Joe Brady offense.  Let me rephrase it... he’s the only good route runner wr on Carolina team.  Robby Anderson will move safeties up which gives Moore even more freedom in the middle.

I hope we keep him. That dude is gonna be special if he can build on last season. He could pull better than Thomas numbers in the right offense if he can avoid any more concussions.

It was a while back. There’s a post on it but I can’t remember exactly when Rhule said it. At the time it was widely assumed it was for motivation. But signing a Rhule homer brings me to question it again.

Because we signed Robby Anderson they believe DJ Moore is gone? DJ Moore is twice the complete receiver of Anderson. Anderson may be a more traditional deep threat than Samuel but I can't see any of them being gone.

Honestly, what I'm visualizing right now is an attempt to look like the Chiefs and 49er's in terms of the speed on the field. Brady is going to run a mix of those two schemes to get wide open lanes.

6th Round Draft Pick: Darrynton Evans (App State)
