Cherry-picking a stat what people do when they solely focus on ONE singular aspect of a job and ignore all relevant results. Like winning. So you, and others are the only ones doing any cherry-picking. And you can’t get those right. One SB, not two.

Anytime you want to go through the whole list I’m more than ready. We can put everything on the table so.there will not be any cherry-picking by anyone. We can start with how a playoff team two years ago is now in the worst roster situation in the NFL.

It is pretty well understood that the majority of stars on the 2015 team  were Hurney's not Gettleman. All Gettleman did was dismantle it in 2016. His fruit basket turnover of personnel like Madden made it much tougher to win than it should have.

And how is 6 years out of 13 not cherry picking.  I don't waste my time discussing something with someone who is only there to argue. I discuss to get and give perspectives not go back and forth like a contest to win. I gave that up in high school debate team.

Rhule is not interested in winning under 5 games this season. He is not interested in dragging this team down to the worst in the league to draft any single player.

Instead, he is looking to build a culture of hard work and accountability in the building. The hope is that will benefit the team as a whole much more than any single player would. That would be nearly impossible to create if he allowed a 1-2 win season. The goal is a season with a handful of wins, some close losses, and a hell of a lot of hustle.

I'm good with that.

Love that Jeremy.  If the team drafts well ...and Rhule is the real deal....they might surprise a few people.

No. That’s a false narrative you have always tried to play off. One of many. Who were all the OL, DL, DB, WRs? Kalil, Norman, and 20M backup in Charles Johnson. Along with 15M of dead cap, that’s a bigger percentage of the cap than this years debacle courtesy of your boy.

And now we’re not going back far enough? Are those not his last six seasons? You complain if anyone brings up stuff from a decade ago, then complain they don’t. I can’t use his AM radio sales numbers for his time when no.NFL team would call him for any job. What time period would suit you. Isn’t 2.0 all that matters? Because there are about 100+ posts on here of you saying exactly that. Pick anything?

But no, the same “I don’t argue” cop out when you realize you have no clue. There are enough people on here to dispute that. Hurney is your new Shula. With similar results.

I agree. There's something about building a culture of hard work, of wanting to win, of creating a team identity about those things that makes for winners. Are we going to win the NFC South this year? Almost definitely not... this is the toughest division in football, still.

Will we win the NFC South within the next three years? Oh yeah, without a doubt. And we will be able to repeat.

Sometimes it's amazing what a bunch of nobodies can accomplish when they get everything out of the way and build up a head of steam.

I think Rhule can do it.

So, you think Rhule is going to lead a cast of “nobodies” to multiple division crowns and a possible Super Bowl? Chances are, he’ll have to grab a star or two to make that happen. Are there any consistent winners now that don’t have a star or two? Im curious, as I can’t think of any. Most consistent teams have a QB that is their star and in the headlines or talked about mostly. Seems y’all are going to have to get over your fear or hatred of stars.

Last team I remember that was a consistent winner and didn’t have any stars or elite players was the Detroit Pistons, and that was in the NBA.

No, I believe he's going to be building a team to win over the long run. It won't be complete this season, but I think it will compete, even if there aren't a lot of big name stars right now. Right now, he's setting the foundation and getting a locker room for him, not one with Rivera (or Newton) leftovers. He's going to work on building a new culture.

Will he succeed? There's no guarantee, but from what I have seen, I have at least some confidence in the man and I'll root for the team all season and the ones to follow. Will we win multiple division crowns? I sure hope so, but that's over a course of years and we will see stars develop that we haven't even imagined yet.

Might as well be positive, because it sucks to just sit and whine through the off season as some would have you do here.

They aren't Tanking, but I don't see them going higher than 8-8. I would be thrilled if that happens, also it would be a good sign that Rhule is ahead of Rivera in several things. IIRC Rivera went 6-10 his first year. With a rookie phenom QB. Let's see what Rhule does.

Rhules has a combined 3-21 first season with a team record. 8-8 would be closer to his year two record. And this is the NFL not B league college.

Agreed 100%.  We will have a top 10 offense, and a defense that will be improved over last season (I mean, it has to be, right).  We are replacing aging vets with young, hungry players.  Losing Luke hurts, but Shaq will help lead.  If we can get a couple defensive starters in the draft, and sign another couple decent vets, we will be ok.  8-8 is reasonable.

I don't see how we lose Luke and Bradberry....yet are improved on D.

Because Luke hasn't looked right in a two years and Braberry was just a zone CB. Also u do know we was pretty much dead last on defense this past year. I mean I don't think we could get worse.

Luke was fine, besides the fact he had a OL on him nearly every play last season. Bradberry is a seriously good corner letting him walk and then signing random backups to start, ya no.

Yeah, but the Luke of late is still better than almost any ILB in the game.

Unless we are going to a man to man scheme....Bradberry is also a huge loss.  And I didn't advocate paying him but it can't be denied that he excelled vs the NFCS beasts.   So I think it is safe bet we struggle more defending Julio, Thomas, Evans, etc this year.

Plus we will have new coaches and a new scheme.  College heavy staff. Even with great talent it generally takes awhile for new defenses to look good.

I think we will score more points.  Have a better O.    But yeah, I think the D easily could be just as bad.

    • Something about him for sure. I get the same for Jack Sawyer.
    • I hope he ends up in a Panther uniform. Something about this kid makes me think he's going to be a special player.  Nothing great stands out about him but he's just 100% football player that won't quit.
