Nothing is clear.

Marty will draft the BPA with number 7.

thats of course how the Panthers rank the players, not Mel Kiper and definitely not the huddle.

im calling Andrew Thomas... but hope we jump up for Tua,.. although if it ends up being Derrick Brown I won’t cry,.. it just means he’s the BPA.

what I really hope is if we can’t get Tua that we drop back....

Who's saying otherwise? We're projecting how the Panthers view them, not Kiper or specific websites.  Boards align closer to the top and stray the further down you go.  I wouldn't be opposed to a Tua situation but highly doubt we'll get the capital to leapfrog Miami.  They're likely trading up to #2 or 3.

And we may have even further down the road to project given GM's are requesting to postpone the draft.  More predictions forthcoming! haha

Something else to note:

Teddy Bridgewater: 27 y/o

PJ Walker: 25 y/o

CMC: 23 y/o

DJ Moore: 22 y/o

Robby Anderson: 26 y/o

Curtis Samuel: 23 y/o

Pharoh Cooper: 25 y/o

DeValve: 27 y/o

Ian Thomas: 24 y/o

Okung 31, Daley 23, Little 22, Paradis 30, John Miller 26, Moton 25

Pretty damn young offensive group. Good lord.

I still maintain that the Panthers strategy is to see if Tua (or god forbid they like Herbert) is available at 7.

If he's not there they will look to trade down, and draft brown or kinlaw or the best CB on the board.

If the trade down option is bad they will take Okudah, Simmons, or finally Brown/Kinlaw.

Okudah, Simmons, Brown or trade down and I’ll be happy. Offense should be entertaining and defense will probably be young with some growing pains.

I think this is the best approach. Take one of those 3 and if they all not available, drop down and get more picks.

well...at this point we could give up 30 pts a game

I'd assume they go CB or DT early on, which will only leave a few holes left right?  And every team has a few.  I'm genuinely asking; I don't even know, I stopped evaluating the roster once I stopped investing as much in the team really. lol

Coach's draft here. This is the type of draft the Patriots would use to go to the Super Bowl. No really big time players, but a bunch of guys that should be able to do their jobs competitively. I like it. But it would test Rhule's staff.

It actually fits Rhule as well.

Epenesa fits the D well.  Look at Jame Lynch at Baylor.

In this mock to recap

I had the Raiders trading up to grab Simmons.  We received 2 of the Raiders 3rds. And potentially a 2021 1st or 2nd.

We then chose Kinlaw after the trade down.

Epenesa (who fits the D well) fell in the 1st, so we traded one of those 3rds to move up into the bottom of the 1st for Epenesa.  Now we have a solid foundation being built on the the D, where it matters, in the trenches.  We now have Burns, Kinlaw, and Epenesa in 1 years on 5 year deals.

CB wouldve been great here, and there are Studs available.  Our CBs look among the weakest in the league.  But our DL is gutted.  KK Short is the only signed DT pre draft.  Edge, we have Burns, but lost long time foundation Addison.  Leaving Burns and some project questions at Edge.  SF proved once again, defense is won in the trenches.

CB, the depth of this class is strong.  So I double dipped in the 3rd.  Ojemudia has been getting comps of James Bradberry (who you remember was a late 2nd who was projected 3rd).  Hall, Ojemudia, Jackson, and resigning Cockrell leaves me comfortable enough on the D especially with the improvements on the DL.

Kindley is a Haus, who will fall because he isnt looked at as athletic and versatile as other OGs in the class.  But would be a solid pickup as a RG replacement for Turner.

Muse late, could be morphed into that hybrid OLB/Safety.  At worse he can become Cole Holcomb  who the redskins drafted in the 5th last year and became a solid contributor plus looked to be a potential stud down the road.

If you think it's a QB or LT you're going to be very dissapointed.  We may not even pick an OT in this entire draft.  Brace yourself.

That will be damn sad if we don't get one with all the talent this group has at this time.  Becton, Willis, and Thomas are future stars if we let one slip then we deserve what we get.

Robinson is reportedly going as high as R3 per scouts.  He's one of those who may not be high on the website big boards but high on the team boards.

Yeah, he's one of those guys that's all over the place.  It's odd how across several big boards certain guys are dialed in within about a round and then others like Robinson have a wild 4 round variance.  I too have seen him as high as a late 3rd, but I would say on average, 6th to 7th.

When I've read up on him, he has a combination that is super sought after.  Tight press coverage for Cover 2, but a balhawk with a speed+size combo.  He reminds me of an unrefined Stephon Gillmore.   Very similar IMO.
