Why are we attacking our FO

I suppose it's possible that Cam was way more of a pain in the ass to deal with then anyone let on.  It's possible the Panthers actually protected Cam from himself.

Dont confuse this please. I know Cam has done a ton of philanthropy work, and has done a ton of good in the community.

But he may not take direction well and still may be a pain in the ass to work with.  For a long time his talent made it worth it.

Pain in the ass??

WRONG WRONG WRONG

What exactly did they lie about? And provide your sources.

Sources are the multiple reports that are on the main forum, but Rhule and tepper coming out saying that they wanted to win a super bowl with cam was bologna, tepper making it a question about health than cam passing a physical the day before being released indicates we had no real intentions keeping cam, and the report that cam was “blindsided” by the news is even more disingenuous.

all of it wasn’t warranted and could have told cam and fans the truth front the beginning and avoid a lot of backlash.

Listen, I love Cam. This team won't be the same without him, the games won't be the same without him, our community won't be the same without him. And yes, I think we eventually deserve a better explanation for this decision.

Despite that, at this point no facts have been revealed to the public in regards to our FO and Cam's interactions which culminated in his release. Everyone who is currently angry about this is basing their opinion on speculative journalism and whatever social media response fits the narrative.

This organization failed Cam in many ways throughout his career here but the truth behind the events that lead to today is still unknown. It is unfair to assume that either party was or is intentionally being misleading. So can we hold off on jumping ship until we have fact based reason to believe that Tepper/Rhule/Hurney are steering this franchise into oblivion?

Edit: Hopefully Tepper and Rhule can reroute Hurney because he seems hell bent on finding said oblivion.

It's not far fetched the Panthers would've kept Cam had TB went to TB, NE, or LA. They might not have known themselves, it's a far different situation when the guy Joe Brady loves is not an option anymore.

Passing a physical and being capable of staying healthy a full 16 games season are two different things. If he truly wanted a big multi year contract, then that’s a very legitimate reason to decide to part ways. I’ve said many times before. It isn’t Cams fault, but I think Ron Rivera and company broke him physically.

There’s been no indicator he wanted a big multi year contract. I would agree we shouldn’t have given him that, too uncertain. But at the very least let him play out his last year.

I don't think we ever because that will just cause a "he said-she" said gossip column that helps no one. It's something in the middle. Panthers were probably willing to take a 1 year chance and he wanted a little more commitment. I think the virus kind of made it worse as when they decided to move on, he couldn't properly find a team to check him out. I don't think there was a good way this was going to end. He was your icon and the team was moving in a new direction with new people. Sad no matter how you look at it.
