This team has transformed so quickly.  Pretty wild ride going on.

O

QB) Teddy Bridgewater | PJ Walker

RB) CMC |Bonnafon |Scarlett

WR) Moore | Anderson | Samuel | Roberts | Cooper

TE) DeValve | Thomas

OL) Okung-Daley-Paradis-Miller-Moton

D

DL) Weatherly-Short-??-Burns (+Added rotation?)

LB) Carter Jr.-Shaq-Whitehead

CB) ???-Jackson-Luke

S) Boston-Burris

Primed to build a defense in this draft.  Clearing the way for Simmons or Brown and a top cornerback.

Does this mean you have DeValve ahead of Thomas?

I was mainly talking coaching staff, but players also.

As for Spurrier and especially Kelly, it's a valid point. But Rhule hasn't come in and gutted a talented roster and replaced them with decidedly uninspiring players! What he's basically done so far is to allow aging and/or uninspiring players to leave or traded a couple away, and upgraded positions. Even Kirkwood, who may just be camp fodder was an upgrade over over Wright! Walker looks to be a legitimate upgrade and Robby Anderson is certainly a legitimate plus on the preponderance of NFL rosters. Not to mention they aren't old as dirt. But I see some parallels.

Rivera has no collegiate level developmental ties

Edit: Oh yeah, Whitehead is far from dog meat. He's a downgrade from having Luke of course, but a considerable upgrade from nothing. It's a smart move, and not just a "former-player" move!

I don't mean to rain on your parade out of spite, I am just pointing out there are some parallels to what we are seeing here and the results the past have been mixed, at best.

Nothing they are doing is novel. Let's just hope it works.

Granted, if that qualified as tanking then we've been tanking for the better part of 25 years.

Agreed.  This franchise has been run pretty poorly over the past couple decades, and we still almost got 1 or 2 rings out of it....

This is sorta more of the same ole way of doing things....I'll give them a little time, but I have SERIOUS doubts about Tepper.

Just curious if certain people still think that there was no plan, and if the execution of that plan makes for a better team in the short term and especially the long term.

There were some people who couldn't see any plan, but for nepotism and picking ex-players at all costs. Now, I'd hope you can at least admit that there was more going on here than to attempt the foolishness of Chip Kelly!
