I would put DJ ahead of Anderson

I’d go Curtis, Anderson and then DJ in slot.  People don’t realize how open Curtis was last year only to have Allen make the wrong throw.

TJ Yates once won a playoff game.

The Vikings had Adrian Peterson and an elite defense.  Teddy is a clown.

Dead on....

it would have been much better for us to get Nick Foles. Much better contract, much better quarterback that’s clutch in playoff games.

i would actually be more excited about Case Keenum,.. the guy looked incredible in Minni,.. like Foles he got screwed going to a garbage team afterwards.

What?  Bridgewater's worst statistical season in Minnesota is still ahead of Allen's last year, and that was in an archaic offense where his best WR was 31 years old, past his prime Greg Jennings.  And you can't dismiss turnover rate like that is something minor.  There is a reason Jameis Winston is still without a job.

Bridgewater is flat-out a better QB than Kyle Allen.  All you have to do is watch them play.  Bridgewater's pocket presence is better, he's more accurate underneath and intermediate (neither are good at throwing deep), Bridgewater even after a serious knee injury is more mobile.  I mean it isn't even a competition.  There is a reason there was a market for Bridgewater, nobody would have wanted Allen other than a coach who is notorious for hanging onto his guys.

I'm sorry but I do not see how you can have sat and watched the two play and come to the conclusion that they are anywhere on the same level.  Bridgewater is a starter in the NFL.  Maybe he won't turn out to be a good one, but he can start for 1 of 32 teams.  Allen isn't anywhere close to being that.  Not turning the ball over is IMPORTANT for an NFL QB, and that alone puts Bridgewater on another level.

I don't disagree with you, but do you honestly think we're making any noise with a Bridgewater led offense playing opposite of what very likely might be the worst defense in the NFL?

I was against the Bridgewater signing from the get go because IMO the only impact of a veteran bandaid might be winning just enough games not to be able to land a legit franchise QB prospect next April.

Some of you are underrating Bridgewater.  He's not going to be Mahomes, but I think he can throw better deep than some of ya'll are giving him credit for.  The Saints, even with Brees, had trouble throwing deep last year.  They didn't have the WRs for it and Payton's scheme in general is dependent on slicing up teams underneath.

Bridgewater showed he can be productive in that scheme, a scheme similar to what he will be operating with this year.  Will he be great, probably not.  But he can be productive, he's proven that.  He can get the ball in his weapons hands and allow them to make plays.  That is what Payton and Brady's system is all about, and it is why we are surrounding him with players who can make plays with the ball in their hands.

Samuel has to be the slot guy going forward.  DJ had a good season last year hes the go to guy can make any catch and run any route plus the yac

Give the new coaching staff  chance. RR was defensive minded and couldn't get the defense to play up  to par after McDermott left.

I have. They already have proved that they don’t know what they are doing.

Um... what?  He’s good at YAC. Curtis is better at everything a WR does except breaking tackles.

DJ still a very raw route Runner and struggles on press coverage.

This is an absolute steal, Hurney is making some great moves this offseason with a few really bad ones. Biggest thing here is that we still are keeping our books clean next year and two years down the road. No soul stealing contracts for five years here

And I understand that point completely.  I'm not saying I was a fan of signing Bridgewater.  Personally I was all-in on tanking, but what's done is done.  I do think people are underrating Bridgewater, and it isn't fair to put him on the same level as someone like Kyle Allen.

Bridgewater is a Jimmy G level QB.  Good enough to win with, probably not good enough to carry a bad team.  The defense is still a year off even if we commit the draft to it.  However I do think we can win with Bridgewater down the road.  The scheme and players around him are perfect given his skill-set.  This is going to an efficient and fast offense.  I'm excited for that, personally.

Ideally, I would have liked for us to go full tank-mode.  But I can understand why Tepper and Rhule would be hesitant to do that given the criticism fans are throwing their way already.  So maybe they want to show everyone that the decision to move on from Newton wasn't a bad one and that the flaws with the team were elsewhere.  Which I think is far more likely than people think.  I really think Bridgewater is going to have a solid year.

Yeah I'm loving that.  Some easy outs in 2021 and 2022 in case things don't go as planned.  Leaves us available to make some big defensive free agent signings down the road.
