I hope I'm wrong, but I think Cam's career might be over.

You must be blind to the news on him was a while back. Kaepernick screwed up his own career and no he is not whatsoever NFL ready. He literally put his own career to death nobody else. Cam didn't do the garbage Kaepernick pulled at all.

Exactly!!!

Cam deserves respect and recognition for what he accomplished as starting QB of the Panthers. Kaepernick should never have his name mentioned in regards to Cam. Kaepernick and his terrible play got benched by Blaine Gabbert!!!  Kaepernick, being the idiot that he is, turned down a player option for $21 million on the last year of his contract, Cam had no control over what has happened to him. Kaepernick has no intentions of playing because he just isn't good, but he likes to play games and pretend for attention. Cam may like attention, but he will never go to the extreme of Colin to get it.

The point is not that Kaepernick and Cam situations are the same.  The point I was trying to make, is that sometimes guys have something left, but outside factors limit their opportunities.  For Cam its not just his health, but the way he is perceived after his social media outbursts, etc.

I'm not trying to poo on the guy, but people don't seem to understand that Cam has been on the block for a while.  The writing is on the wall.  Nobody is very interested making him their QB.

Most teams are not going to sign a player with baggage.  Antonio Brown is fantastic, but he's out of an NFL job.  Backup QB is a job where you need to have your head down and almost be invisible.  That's not going to work for every player.

And AB was a waaay better WR than Cam was a QB just based on the numbers.

If that was the case how then did Brady get his done because it is in the same situation with the virus problem.

NFL Physicians Society ceased giving physicals a ~day ago. Bad timing for Cam.

No trade value when all teams know we’re just going to release him anyway. His career is only over if he chooses it is.

I agree. Dude passed his physical and most of us have seen him throwing (footballs, tires, and medicine balls). Panthers are my squad but I'll definitely keep an eye on where he goes. I'm sure he's gonna start somewhere next season. It's only March.

The crossdressing was a sign...then it was the cigar vid. If I'm Cam...I do what Kuechly did and retire. Cam is a prime CTE candidate.

Yeah, there is still plenty of time.

Realistically, there are going to be starters that won't make it to the end of the season for one reason or another.

Opportunities will present themselves for Cam at some point.

He just needs to stay in shape and be prepared to be flexible on his demands.

My best guess - Cam will get signed somewhere. He will be a highly motivated, elite athlete for 4 - 8 games. The will to prove everyone wrong will yield him winning most of those games.  The huddle implodes. Then a nagging injury surfaces. IR. Retires after the season. The other half of the huddle says "told you so."

One day he gets the gold jacket that we hopefully all agree he deserves.

I would be shocked if he didn’t make the HOF, because of all the QB rushing records he set
