I hope I'm wrong, but I think Cam's career might be over.

I wish RR didn't run a great QB into the ground. They would play Newton when it was clear to everyone he was injured with no eye to the future just to save there jobs, and in the end may have rushed his end here.

All I know is Im going to miss his personality and watching how much fun he had on game day

Yep, it was one of the reasons he and Delhomme were so much fun to watch. They wore their joy on their shoulders.

Yep. It's one of the reasons why Favre will probably always be my favorite non-Panther. Dude was fun as hell to watch. Whether it was amazingly great or incredibly reckless and disastrous, it was never boring and the guy was obviously having a blast the whole time.

As a gymnastics fan, I remember the old Soviet Bloc countries used to have athletes that were technically perfect but looked robotic. Western athletes actually looked like they were enjoying themselves.

It's a different sort of appeal.

Guys like Marino, Brady and Brees are fun to watch because they're so technically perfect it's amazing.

Quarterbacks like Favre, Elway, Delhomme and Newton may be far from perfect, but they're very easy to cheer for because they're so much fun.

He could well hang them up.  I certainly would not blame him.  He has other interests, he's made his share of $100M, he's' provided for his family, and he's built a name for himself outside of football.  He's also had a lot of fun, and I suspect has been finding it less and less fun as the injuries have come and the situation changed.

There is no shame in looking at that balance sheet, realizing you can leave now with all your marbles in place, and walking into the sunset in terms of football.

Truth is, if I were him that might be my preference unless some situation presented itself that gave me a chance to win a championship.

It definitely is not a good sign when your former head coach trades a 5th for your backup and not for you.  Thats the point people are missing, either Rivera knows Cam’s career is shot (thanks largely in part to Rivera not building around him) or he just plainly didn’t like coaching him.

It’s simple.
Cam=expectations

Kyle Allen=does not.

I respect Cam and what he has done, especially considering he never really had any help “most” of his career.  But, I’m suspecting something else has been happening behind the scenes that really just made everyone not have anything to do with Cam.
