Sad way to end the best 9 years of our franchise. Never have there been so much joy around the Panthers.

We seem to be doing a fantastic job of pissing of our stars. Now just look and wait to see Cam win with another team while our very own Jerry Jones fug this poo up.

The Houston Roughnecks have a new opening.

Unbelievable that we couldn't get anything for him. Poor job by Marty and the front office

This idea just strikes me as retarded. No offense to you or any retards.

but if cam newton was worth something we would have kept him. Nobody lets their MVP QB go unless the injury is not healing and there is no upside to keeping him. And all 31 other teams know that.

BB has literally nothing to prove. Nothing. He could retire now and universally be considered the greatest head coach ever.

Tanking for Trevor while the Chiefs rule the AFC is a solid move for them.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but that just isn't how the Patriots roll

There have been multiple reports saying he was in fact shopped around before free agency year. And it’s extremely hard to think a team would offer a 2nd for him then, when he was still in a damn leg cast rolling around on wheels but now won’t even offer a 7th for him.

I know you guys are trying to find a way to blame the FO for what has happened but seriously, let’s get back to reality. There was no market for Cam in his current state, period.

You have no details on what we were asking for. None of us do. It's easy to blame the front office because it is one of the worst in the NFL.

I don't think its so much that he is or is not Tepper's guy as the fact that he can't stay healthy.

I'd say that's why Newton isn't "his guy".

Tepper was reported to have been skeptical of Newton's ability to stay healthy from the moment he bought the team.

According to Jourdan Rodrigue, both Hurney and Rivera wanted to give Newton an extension but Tepper said no.

The Patriots dont tank.

they went 11–5 with Matt Cassel.

they will go 11-5 with Jarrett Stidham while we stick our thumbs up our asses

AFC is a much different place than it was in 2008. Arguably much stronger. The Chiefs are easily the top team, Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL. Ravens are tough. Titans are on the up. Bills are a well built team. Texans beat the Patriots last season.

The AFC in 2008 was the Colts with Peyton Manning and the Steelers with Roethlisberger, and after that you had a flukey Titans and Dolphins team, a garbage AFC West, and a routinely awful bottom of the conference (Bengals, Browns, Jags, Raiders, etc). I feel like the AFC now would mow over the AFC teams back then.

Great time for the Pats to take a step back and rebuild around a new QB. But you could be right and BB puts together a ridiculous season coaching out of his mind

So with your constant blasting of RR and Hurney judgement...this is the correct and sensible move
