The circumstances of 2020 made it nearly impossible for the Panthers to move Cam Newton. No team was going to commit to him, and his $19.1 million for this year, without getting a look at his left foot and right shoulder, among other things. Still ... Weird situation, for sure.

I have since day 1 that the timing of all of this is off on every factor involved.  Sad actually.

I'm thinking of Trent Williams. There have plenty of players who have gotten second opinions. Even during the season. It's a business and a NFL player should understand that. Shame on all those that dont.

It will be tough day for my 9 year old son.   He managed to get past Luke and Olsen.  Cam is a totally different ballgame.  Dude gonna be devastated. 

Cam Newton was the Panthers.   Everyone else just an accessory.

Yep, either keep him or move on. I hate the Bridgewater signing. We’d have almost $60M to rollover for a couple years and another 3rd for Bradberry. We could get Lawrence, extend Moore, Moton and CMC (maybe Samuel), get Lawrence or Fields and build a solid young team with all the extra picks. In 2022/2023 when Brees and Brady are done, you sign two top FAs (like Bears getting Mack or Clowney level) and go balls to the wall for a SB.

Bridgewater takes away a 3rd, $33-63M in cap space (Aaron Donald or Mack for 2-3 years) and possibly takes us out of position to get a franchise QB.

I grew up in Charlotte,.... followed the Panthers from Frank Reich, Lamar Lathom, Barry Foster and Kerry Collins,.... 

I can be pissed at them for awhile....
