I am trying to understand why you think folks on here are racist about cam when most are ecstatic about Bridgewater?

It's TheRed. I would tend to agree with the positions he promotes. However, I really don't believe he actually thinks through the things he says.

If cam was healthy he would have a job.  Lets not make this more than it is.  If he could win games for a team they wouldnt care what he does and how he expresses himself.  Right or wrong the reputation about him now is that he is hurt, quite possibly chronically and he is injury prone.  No team is going to have him on the hook for 20 million (if he would even play for that) not knowing if he can even play.  I suspect, as I said all along, we will cut him and he is going to have to ease himself back into football on another team probably as a backup.

Again lets not make this about race or how he carries himself.  He simply cannot play right now and teams know it.

That's not true. Folks have been attacking Cam his entire career. Even when he was the best player in the NFL. Now that he's really down, a lot are taking this opportunity to present a bunch of "I told you so's" about Cam and his character.

The man is a professional athlete that has been injured. No he shouldn't be signed to a big extension if he can't prove that he can stay on the field. But these comments go beyond that.

I wasn't referring to race as much as culture. He's expressing his pain. He's expressing his love. And guys want to paint a completely different narrative than what's being presented.

I think some folk need to check their own hearts and characters. Cause it probably ain't what they think it is.

Definitely valid that Snake and Mr Mojo Risin will spout “KA wouldn’t have thrown that” the first time Teddy gets picked. Mr Mojo Risin will, of course, then proceed to call everyone stupid dumbasses again.

As for Cam, I really don’t want to see him on another team, but I get it at this point in his career. He has more to prove and we can’t wait another few years to take a chance on him getting back to full strength. I don’t see anyone else coming close,to accomplishing what he’s accomplished in nine years here, though, and that’s both realistic and (to a Cam fan) satisfying that he did his job.

bridgewater is an obvious placeholder and he’s simply not very good so it will be much easier to make the case to shove him out the door than it has been to make the case that the team needs to move on from cam. anyone who is “ecstatic” about bridgewater’s ability and injury history should not be trusted lol. that said i’ve read enough of your posts to know you’re trying really really hard here and i just want to say im very proud of you.

It appears to me there is a bit of retaliation going on between the team and Newton.  They are going to hold his rights until the last second before they release him if no trade offers unfold.

I'm assuming Panthers get their 19m back no matter when they cut him, as long as it's before actual games start. So, there is no reason to rush cutting him if there is any chance of salvaging a pick. Other than dragging out the drama. Or if they get in a cap pinch. Is this correct?

The NFL is a cold business....Brady wins 6 SBs and NE won’t give him a 2 yr contact..gone to TB.  Manning hurts his neck and Indy cuts him...he goes to Denver and wins a SB....Cam gets hurt and runs into a industry shutdown...he has a huge chip on his shoulder, buts does he ever win aSB.

Wishing him good luck

Great points--supporting my position that a good GM does not use contracts to reward players--they were already paid handsomely.  Contracts are for the future.  We are talking about business arrangements, not marriages.
