He’s not owed anything, nor is he getting paid by us this year. @kungfoodude This is what I mean about dead cap.

Again, dead cap is just from bonuses paid up front that we have not year accounted for in our cap. The $2M was part of a bonus that Cam already has in his bank account, minus taxes.

Same with Matt Kalil or Luke. We aren’t handing them a penny in cash this year. Dead cap is just cash already paid that was pushed out to future cap years. When the player leaves, it comes due as far as the cap is concerned. The player already has that money.

I will too, been saying the same thing though, 2015 Can is gone. No idea what the future holds for him but he clearly has been hurting since the end of 2016.

That said, the video is a bit in bad taste with what’s going on now. Unemployed and struggling to put your bills is not where he is. Put up a hungry/hungrier video but you know people will take the unemployed part to heart and feel like he’s not a good guy. He’s proven he is but his “team” doesn’t always give him good advice.

This dragging it out crap is getting old. We all know you two aren't getting back together, you two know it, let's just be done with it.

I mean, really, it's getting kind of pissy. Can we just avoid all this?

(And just to put it in perspective, Cam, there are a lot of good folks right now who really are unemployed for real reasons and they don't have millions in the bank... they really will struggle to feed their kids, make rent and utilities and they really don't know what will happen next. Go buy scarves and wait a bit, someone will call you.)

No, actually, it’s not a fact right now. He’s still on the roster if you want to play that game. If you can’t understand why joking about being unemployed is in poor taste right now then that’s on you. It’s a bad look with lots of people struggling to get enough food for their families. Cam’s done a lot of good, but I’ll be honest, that video doesn’t paint a good picture. Feel free to label me a racist, but I’m concerned about my family’s well being and others due to a pandemic and not concerned about Cam’s feelings.
