Teddy's contract has an out

So does anyone think it's weird we haven't officially signed Teddy B. I just think something should have been said by now.

He's signed.

The only thing remaining would be league approval, and barring something extremely weird, that's a formality.

How some of you hype bridgewater up is crazy, he’ll be a place holder until we draft whomever we believe to be the future at qb. Injured cam has performed better than teddy has ever in his career, it’s ok just pray the fo is making the right decision

Because he is a QB who was a playoff starter and 5-0 in the season before in a starting role after recovering from a career threatening injury that has nothing to do with throwing the football?

I'm sure people said the same about Brees.

Just because Cam is gone doesn't meant we can't be excited about anyone else. The contract is also structured well where we can draft a QB and be free of Teddy year 3 if it don't work out.

The world doesn't resolve around Cam Newton like many here think.

@Mr Mojo Risin

Teddy was under contract last year to the Saints.  It was a team friendly deal and he was never made available.

What Teddy is, is an NFL Rookie of the Year and a Pro Bowler.

He's also a guy who went in last year and went 5-0 with 9 TD's vs. 2 INT's while completing 68% of his passes and racking up a 104 QB rating.

Teddy is going to ball out, prepare yourself as such.

Yeah I remember when Kyle Allen went 5-0, there’s nothing to be excited about, last year was his crowning achievement so far in his career besides that he’s been extreme pedestrian as a signal caller.

Hoping he’s a good place holder until the next qb is drafted and who said the world resolves around cam ? I’m hoping teddy doesn’t messed up the chance to draft the next franchise qb.

the dude scored 6 points in his lone playoff game ? Please gtfo of here thinking that’s going translate into a brees like awakening

People hate the truth man. Teddy is what he is at this point in his career. A game manager who suffered a gruesome knee injury. The FO paid him 63 million to be a better player than he has ever been. We'll see if it happens

Teddy actually started the better part of 2 seasons and played well.

As a rookie he played in game-4 and then started the last 12 going 6-6 as a starter and garnering NFL Rookie of the Year* honors.  It's notable that the team started 1-3 that season and was 5-10-1 the prior season.

Teddy was off to the races after that, started all 16 games his 2nd season and the team went 11-5 and Teddy was voted to the Pro Bowl.  The Viking lost in the Wild Card game 10-9 when their kicker missed a chipshot on the last play of the game.

Starting all 16 games and only throwing 14 TD passes in today's NFL is not "off to the races."  That team won because it had a dang good defense and Adrian Peterson ran for nearly 1,500 yards.  Teddy was just a passenger on that team.  Don't get me wrong, if the 2017 Jaguars had Teddy Bridgewater, they might have won the Super Bowl.  But make no mistake, unless something changes in how he plays, Teddy's biggest asset is that he doesn't make alot of mistakes.  But he's not going to go out and win you very many ballgames.

Heck, let's discuss the kicker you just blamed for losing the playoff game.  Teddy put up 9 points.  It was cold as all get out, but 9 points is more to blame than a kicker (and actually I blame the holder on that one).

At a cost of 42M. And that’s a good thing for the team?

And I seem to remember a QB that was 5-0 at one time last year after being an UDFA. How did that workout?
