The #Cowboys are in talks with FA DT Dontari Poe, source said. It’s not done yet, but could be by the end of today if all goes well. Another potential big-name DT who spent last year with the #Panthers.

Had we stayed with the 4-3 full-time last season we would've been fine. Ron saw the writing on the wall and had to make some sort of change - a change that typically requires multiple offseasons to complete - to keep moving forward. The guys we had were quality but the transition and injury to KK really muddled things up. We lacked a true OLB/DE for a 3-4 scheme which apparently Tepper didn't see any need to fix. 

Had we thrown in a Clowney or something similar last season I expected things would've been a bit different.

Didn't they already sign McCoy? If there was any DL from last season that I wouldn't be trying to recreate, it would be ours.

Dontari Poe closing in on a deal with Cowboys is even more evidence of team switching to 3-4. Interestingly Poe played nose tackle in Carolina 3-4 last season with newly signed Cowboy Gerald McCoy at end.

You mean like the season before where we had a record low sacks. Yeah totally would have worked. Smh you guys forget quickly.

The 3-4 conversion was mostly lip service. We played with four down linemen the vast majority of the time last year.
