His size could have scared teams off. Only 6 foot tall.  Maybe after Kyler Murray shows it could be done there may be more of an appetite for smaller players.  I will have to go watch some tape.

I'd say maybe even more Donovan McNabb. I doubt he has the arm McNabb does but he did remind me a lot of McNabb from the XFL highlight reel I was watching.

That is what RR did to Cam--and many of the people bitching now were those cheering when they had him running the option and QB draws, etc.  I questioned the decisions, and was called a hater.  Now I say he has been beaten into the ground more than any other QB in the NFL.  Hater again.  So while I agree, I do not understand people sometimes--but I do not go to NFL discussion boards to analyze people.  I go to hear ideas about the team, get some opinions, etc. so I can better understand how fans might react. 

I think scheme and neglect to the oline did cam in. He’s not a traditional QB and when the staff asked him to be at the beginning of 2016 and he looked like trash after after 3 losses they took the chain off and he started to ball out. Can’t take away why makes him special. They used Cam to his best abilities just fine. But calling plays that take 7 seconds to develop behind patchwork oline got him killed.

I think the biggest disservice to Cam was getting rid of Chud. When Cam was drafted, Newton and the coaching staff took those "Passing QB" narratives as a challenge and Cam went out throw all over the place. Behind center, shotgun, two TE with Shockey and Olsen. Cam was gunslinging. He made mistakes but he was gunslinging. And when Chud left Ron took the quickest route to success to save his job. Since then we were all RPO, screens and play action passing. It worked because Newton was a freak of nature. We were getting somewhere with Norv Turner though and I think unfortunately it was just poor timing with Cam's injuries.
