I saw Whitehead cover a receiver out of the backfield once.  It was so unbelievable that the refs threw a flag because they assumed there was no way he could have accomplished that without committing a penalty! LOL

Carolina’s Matt Rhule coached Walker at Temple. This past XFL season Walker shared with us that Rhule stayed in contact with him weekly and watched his games. #Panthers

I fugin love this. best player in the XFL by far. does no harm to see what he can do for us. also has a history with Rhule. 

 

not saying he will be any good in the NFL, but its worth a look see. I really enjoyed watching him play in the XFL

"A standout" and "the best player in the XFL" only means that he was almost, but not quite good enough to make the NFL. On a talent scale, he's not even as good as the average NFL backup QB, otherwise he'd still be on a roster somewhere.

Would imagine Walker had some other offers, but Rhule and Walker have ties from Temple - makes sense his former college coach would give him a shot -- and more importantly, that he wanted to take that shot in Carolina as opposed to elsewhere.
