In the current roster, who has the most the prove?

Recommended Posts

With what is going on in the world right now, I'd like to pose a question to the huddle. Given the current roster at the moment, pre draft (who knows when that will happen.), what panther has the most to prove in the following season?

Personally I think It's KK. The guy has been a shadow of himself since he got paid, sure he was injured but still...The guy needs to literally come out guns blazing because otherwise Hurney will be looking like a complete and utter dumbass keeping him over Star.

What say you huddle, who has the most the prove and why?

I'm a huge Shaq fan but dude has some shoes to fill. He's great in run support but I want to see the next step in coverage from him. The biggest reason I say Shaq though now is he is undeniably the leader of this defense and has to set the tone.

Donte. He has top 5 shutdown corner potential, and that flashed at times his rookie year. Last year was rough. Maybe this coaching staff can get more out of him. Reminds me a little of Frank Alexander but without the drug issues. That guy could’ve been an absolute monster but didn’t. Hopefully Donte can pull it together for us.

You know what pick would benefit him and the defense in General? Simmons. Him and Shaq in the middle of the field would be insane if this staff figures it out. Their range and close in speed would be something scary to see.

Man I would say Simmons all day if we didn't have Shaq and Brown wasn't in the draft. I just feel Brown will have an effect on the entire defense for many reasons including freeing Shaq up to make plays. I don't think Simmons would be better then Shaq this year and I honestly think it's time to give Shaq his opportunity in the middle. I would not for a second be unhappy with Simmons but feel he would be wasted without a guy of Browns caliber in front of him. I think Brown, Simmons, and Okudah are of equal talent by position but I feel after the Shaq signing he would be a luxury pick.

I put Donte at second behind Shaq but have seen the flashes of absolute greatness. I think this staff will get much more out of him and he will be an amazing corner. I'd like to see a taller corner taken in the second after we take Brown to compliment him.

Moton

Paradis

Sgaq

Teddy

Moore

Samuel

Maybe Jackson

These guys are the core of the future if they preform to their potential. Moton is in his contract here. Paradis needs to prove he’s worth what he’s paid. Shaq has already been paid and needs to step up and lead the defense. Teddy is self explanatory. Moore and Samuel I think is their year to produce or get cut.

Jackson at this point is our only future secondary piece with talent. Boston works best with support. If he can become a smarter player he has the skills. He reminds me of a faster Norman. Norman got smarter. On the line I think Burns is going to ball out I’ve already checked KK off.

These guys need to step into leadership roles, but at the same time there’s a lot of dead money the Panthers are paying so building a compete team will take 2 seasons. I include KK in the dead money.

Luke, Reid, Cam, M Kalil (lol), KK...combined, think they’re taking a lot of cap still though I don’t know exact numbers.

Adding the guys in your paragraph to the list and imo at least 3 drafted players and your pretty on. I thought Tre did great in his quarter of the field and possibly helped Bradberry get paid. With Rhules influence on the draft I think we get 3 impact guys because of how high we are drafting and if you add them along with using them correctly, thats not a bad core. I'd like to add Ian and Okung for next year as well off of potential. Ahh and Dayley!

Good thread topic, Ivan.  My first thought was Bridgewater, then Shaq.  KK and Jackson are good choices.

However, the person I expect to step up or step out is Paradis.
