Very much a good post. If we weren't going to pay Norwell, why would we pay almost as much for someone who wasn't close to Norwell or an all-pro. Pay the tackle and draft a replacement guard.

Wow, that's it? I would have resigned Van Roten for that much. Low risk with only $3.25 mil in guarantees. I'm sure they can cut ties after one year with almost no dead cap hit.
