You are not going to get good at football by trying to fool people. You step right up and hit em in the mouth.

Tepper is a football/personnel amateur. Trust the experts, buy a suit, stay in your office and let football people do football things.

Which is what he's doing.

Bridgewater's upside is akin to that of Kurt Warner.

Both exceptionally bright guys who bided time and the exploded when the proper opportunity presented itself.

With the coaching staff Tepper has assembled this guy has 10 great years ahead of him and like Warner a Super Bowl win and MVP seasons are squarely in the set of possible outcomes.

Big Time Teddy, go slay 'em fella.

Our defense was trash last year due to inability to stop the run. We are drafting Brown and another DT. The DE we signed from Viks is a decent run defender as well.

What about 40 sacks being gone off the roster??

Or most of the secondary??

Or the pro bowl future hofer  middle LB hole we have now??

Some of you really need to take a trip down the realistic route.. So you won't be so disappointed..

I think we went into free agency specifically targeting Teddy Bridgewater. He was the key as to weather we rebuild or retool this season. Kyle Bailey mentioned the team was pleasantly surprised that we signed him at the $21 million number. Had we missed out on him we still would have cut Cam but gone with Will Grier, Kyle Allen and drafted a QB.

If they can't block for him it could be potentially career ending, again.

You saw how much sacks mattered. 2nd in the NFL in sacks and still couldn't stop a fly.

Don't matter how many sacks you get, if you can not stop the run, your D will be butt checks.

And  it will be again maybe even worst..

Younger unknown players learing a new system and scheme with new coaching.. Doesn't breed success early ..  Atleast you could count on the team getting pressure.. Now you can't count on anything on defense.. run defense,  pass rushing nor pass coverage is a certain.. All are question Mark's now..

Joe Brady will design a system and plays to get the ball out of Teddy's hand in 2-3 seconds.

Will just need our WRs and CMC to get open quick.

Yeah Rhule and Brady have this in the bag. The rest of the NFL won't know what hit em'! Super genius, classy owner. Rhule has the other coaches in the NFL shaking in their boots. The offensive mind of Brady is something the NFL has never ever seen before. We'll get sooooo many Saints players, plays and philosophies thanks to Brady Panther fans will be so impressed and greatful that they finally resemble the mighty and just New Orleans Saints, a team that has been to the SuperBowl more recently than we have.

Oh joy

I will take rookie Brown any day of the week over any DT that was on our roster last year. There isn't much to learn for a NT. Its hold the point of attack on runs and drive the OL backwards on passing plays.

Good we get Brown.. He is still a rookie and will need development time.. So he doesn't come in day 1 and fix the run defense.... Then we still have problems in the secondary and LB.. While not having the same pass rush... We can be realistic here.  This defense will be trash early and probably most of the season if not all of it..

Why are you assuming a NT can not come in and immediately make an impact?

We will be drafting a CB in the 2nd round and likely a LB in the 3rd.

I am not saying our D will be good next year, but if we invest heavily in the draft and hit, I think we can be decent.

I am hoping for a good offense and decent defense. Finish around 8 wins.

I was never in the tanking crowd, I think it's stupid, but if you're going to tear everything apart, do that. If you hire a team builder, let him alone, don't make his job harder and make him look foolish.

Finishing 8 after all this wanten destruction and culture shock, having signed damaged goods for 3yrs at QB and overlooking anybody in the QB class of 2020 will drive the tankers and non-tankers absolutely crazy.

I don't see Tepper succeeding. More irrational moves to come if seats aren't filled and the community sours to his antics and lack of decorum. He will threaten a move when he doesn't succeed.

Because "reality check" rookie rarely come in day one and impact a team like that.. And Whole draft classes never do that day 1...

We need more then 1 draft class to make this defense decent.. We truly are building from scratch...

It's okay to be optimistic.. But don't be the person dancing in the rain when it's just ppl peeing on you... At some point being realistic is the way to go... Our roster is bottom 5.. We have literally torn the foundation of this team down.. Even the owner knows this isn't a 8 win team probably in the next 2 years...  Get real..
