That’s not tanking.  You don’t coach different. You don’t play different. You set your team up with an eye on the future. Do you actually believe NFL coaches and players are actively “throwing” games? That’s what you are describing. Everyone needs to give up this false narrative.

It’s amazing that this is hard to grasp. Oh no, we’d instill a loser mentality! No one is throwing games. It’s having a roster that can’t win a lot because you have a QB like Weinke or Clausen or Grier and having a gutted D that was already terrible. Losers mentality comes from going 5-11 and 7-9 and going 1-15 in the second halves. Losing 7 games in a row one year and losing 8 games in a row the next year is a losing mentality. The Panthers gave up at the end of last year. Indy finished 1-7 against everyone else and beat us 38-6 during that stretch. Oh, but I guess we still had that winner’s spirit.

The unfortunate part of being a Steelers fan is also being a Pirates fan. They spent 15 years building teams that going to win 75 games at best. But they wouldn’t tear it down and continued with 20 losing seasons. When they finally blew it up, they had a good riun for 3 years. In a small market, about all Incould ask for. They are about to do another one. Never strive to be average.

If there were ever a season to bring in a huge UDFA class, it’s this one. The promise of legit playing time. And these picks and players will kill themselves just trying to stay in the league. Not a bunch of overpaid vets thinking about their next deals.

I just don’t understood not going all the way with it. Why do you sign a QB and give him 33M?

All the insiders are saying the Dolphins are going to use the #5 pick on a QB -- Justin or Tua depending on the source.

The only clear path left to a starting job in 2020 in the Patriots and he'd probably have to accept backup money to play there --- and doing so would be a good long-term decision!

Odds of Cam making an opening day roster are shrinking by the day.

Panthers have more talent and better coaching staff than those teams. Apples to oranges.

More talent? Yes, but so do our opponents.

As far as the coaching staff, the majority of our assistants came from Baylor, and a lot of the Baylor staff followed Rhule from Temple, so there's not as much difference there as you might think.

Joe Brady has the look and potential of an elite play caller.

Rhule never had anyone that people thought was or could be an elite play caller at Temple or Baylor.

There was a time when Eric Washington was going to be the next great head coach.

There's plenty of reason to be optimistic about Brady, but it's also true that he hasn't called a single NFL game to date. Realistically, we don't know how good he is yet.

Even if he is, how good is Phil Snow? What about Chase Blackburn? Which represents and better, the early part of last year or the latter part?

And let's not forget, how good are our personnel going to be?

Optimism is cool, but there's still a lot we don't know.

Doubt anyone wants that 21 million salary when you can wait for him to be released and sign on a 1 year prove it deal for half that

LMAO Theirs a thing in the nfl called optics, and NFL team in today’s league would never pay a starting QB that little.

Why you think washed up Brady and Rivers both got 30 and 25 mill.

Disagree, dolphins can compete next year with a decent qb, which a healthy cam is more the. Capable of, added that they have several 1st rounders and they’ll be a fun team to watch, actually hope he goes there, their jersey’s are dope as well

Yeah, I agree. They have talent flocking to Miami right now and picks galore.

You’re going to be miserable seeing him dominate the league next year. He’s won a championship on every team he’s ever played on except one. Wonder why that is. This franchise is trash and always will be.

ummm maybe cause this is the NFL not college or high school... SMH
