So what will you guys say when we draft Jerry Jeudy at #7?

Well this is interesting, because my first thought was, "Why are we doing this when the draft is loaded at WR?  Even the undrafted WRs are likely to be better than this one---maybe I am naive about him, but dang--if you have a need and the draft is loaded, sign the guys you can't get in the draft.

You could argue, however, that the Saints roster was pretty loaded at WR and he made the squad---

It would be the most short sighted and wasted top 10 pick of Hurney's career.

Here is an older article to help explain why. Even if we pick Jeudy and he does pan out, we don't have a QB to throw to him at the moment.

Curtco better come out in 2020 and be Tyreke Hill if he wants to see the field. Moore and Robby are the starting wrs. Kirkwood or a rookie could easily beat Curtco for the #3.

Curtco could easily be moved to a halfback position to spell CMC just as simply as you could move CMC wide out as WR1, or as a slot receiver. He won't be traded or lost in the shuffle, but will really be used in many ways.

And the Kirkwood signing, pure genius. As a second line receiver in NO, guess who he has been working with in practices over the last season? Good ol' Teddy Bridgewater. That relationship should add some stability and familiarity there. Smart move guys, smart move.

With limited camp training and fewer preseason games we need wrs that have experience with what Rule and Brady will run .  It will give us some time for the others to catch up .

This post makes some sense.  Perhaps too much sense in this thread...

I Don’t think this signing is worth overreacting to. He’s a serviceable 5th to 6th receiver insurance policy.  Not much more than that.  Doesn’t mean we won’t draft a more talented guy or upgrade the position. Just helps to make sure you don’t reach for need.

It’s not a flashy all-world signing but I think these types of signings are necessary.

I said it on most Rhule players from Temple/Baylor, he's here to help get the culture over in the locker room. He's likely not making the roster, but 1) he knows Rhule and what Rhule will expect, 2) he likely understands the offense that Brady will want, which could help with the young WRs we have if there are any issues there.
