Give me some of whatever you are partaking my brother.  I would love to see that happen in my world.

Just saying that no one saw it coming in August of 2003 or 2015, and everyone would have laughed in March of those years if you'd have said the Panthers would be in the Superb Owl.

Not saying it will happen, not even thinking it is gonna happen, but you can't rule out anything.

Okay, you can generally rule out Detroit, Cincinnati and Cleveland. That's kind of a given.

We weren't rebuilding and starting over with an inexperienced college coach in charge in 2015.

But you forgot one key factor in your calculations.  Time.  Our next window won't open until 2022/2023.  It's roughly a 10 year cycle.

Tighten up your tinfoil hat.  That's what I did.

Heck, but I'm always the optimist.

It keeps the tinfoil bills low.

They had already been trying...they knew the trade market was nil

Exactly. All this talk about the Panthers blowing it with Newton so we get nothing for him belies the elephant in the room. No one wants to trade for Newton at this point. We would be lucky to get a 4th rounder at best. He is damaged goods and no one trusts him to stay healthy let alone pay big bucks for him. We tried to trade him for the past few months and no one wanted him. He will get released and perhaps someone picks him up but who wants that 21 million salary? He might get a 1 year prove it deal for 10-15 million but that is it .

One other relevant point...

As far as the state of the team, while some people inside the building believe that the team needs to just go ahead and gut the roster and start the full rebuild, Marty Hurney believes the team can be built to be competitive this year.

(shocking, I know)

Lol.... really

I always knew it was going to be hard to keep Cam. The way it shook down and how the team handles business is pathetic. The fact they believe they can compete this year after failing with better pieces the last two years is funny and horrifying. Not shocking unfortunately. 2010 incoming. We have a jag QB but the D is gutted.

And they sucked to begin with

telling bus they get to control the message - and then putting the message out themselves was really bad form.  they seriously clapped back at cam for both videos, hard.    tepper will clap back on your ass.  he tore that dudes house down and built a bigger one on the spot just to spite the dude that pissed him off.  i doubt cam has ever been smacked like that in his life, he certainly didn't expect it.   flipping the bird at the team on IG was a bad idea too.   its AB lite.   cam got beat bad on this.  he's not even a blip on sports center's radar.  i hope he shuts up about the team until he gets a new gig, so he can get a new gig.   then its up to him.

I mean this all seems very likely but the problem is the video series the Panthers released basically directly indicating they wanted to keep Cam then the unceremonious dumping of him.

Again they knew for MONTHS this was a high possibility, why did they not have anything ready for this

Couple of quick notes here...

The team reached out to Bailey for this, not the other way around. They clearly wanted to get their side of the story out there.

As to Bailey, a few people accused him of being a mouthpiece for the team. He vehemently denies these accusations, stating that while he'll accurately tell us what the team says, that doesn't mean he believes it.

Again, up to you how but you believe these things...

of course the team wants to, they are getting dragged and rightfully so. They botched releasing the greatest Panther ever

Imagine being 50 something years old and getting your feelings hurt over a middle finger.

I don't think sports are for you. Or anything that involves having a good time frankly. Geesh.
