Time to trade CMC?

Why would we trade him? Teams can bounce back fast now. Plus if we trade him we’ll just be looking for another RB, creating another hole. He’s 23 and will be an exciting toy for Joe Brady.
Tepper needs to sell tickets at this point, you don’t do that by trading CMC.

Its possible for a RB to not be worth drafting in the first and its also possible for a team to still be stupid enough to give a first for him.

People need to understand that in todays NFL running backs aren't as valuable as they use to be.  They also need to understand the concept of WAR, and the fact that a great RB doesn't really add as many wins to your team relative to an average RB as much as great players at other positions do relative to average players at their respective positions.

The one thing that does make CMC different is the fact he is so proficient in the receiving department so he is somewhat different than most RBs.

Not for a traditional RB that isn't very involved in the passing game and has to come off the field in 3rd and long situations.  But for an every down back that has to be accounted for every snap and is probably better than most WR's in the league at catching the ball.....go ahead and pay him imo.

Receiving yards for a RB are extremely overrated.

The games in which Mccaffrey had his most receiving yards all resulted in loses. If you watch the film you would notice most of his receiving yards came against off coverage when we were trailing.
