The NFL isn't a competition that rewards tanking. Name one team that's benefited from it?

You're not fooling or getting ahead of anyone else by "tanking".

You can have a crap season and still make the playoffs.

You have to play your best every season. You never know when the season opens up and presents an opportunity.

You do realize that going back to college that Bridgewater has struggled tremendously with deep accuracy, right?

I imagine the objective in the 2020/1 season is to have a young core group of guys actualize as our new core.  The current group of CMC, Shaq, Moore, and Burns seems to be the extent of it for now.

Also---hopefully Rhule and Brady will have shown some potential.

We'll probably be somewhere between 2-14 and 6-10.  Maybe better if we're lucky but most likely in that early draft range as we're rebuilding.

Hopefully we get at least 2 draft picks that join that group and there's a solid core by year's end to build from and shape the team around.  It may not include a QB just yet.

It's a rebuild.  We're not "tanking" we're not "competing", we're in year 1 of a rebuild.

It's not tanking when you were actively trying to win, and you find yourself with a top 10 pick this year, and quite possibly the worst team in football next year, while leading the league in dead cap money.

That's not tanking, we accomplished that already, now we should be entering the rebuild, that should have happened the moment the 19 season was over, and we have already botched that.

So, we weren't tanking, we were trying to win and didn't know how, now we are rebuilding, but screwing that up already, as expected.

I think we still need significant help personnel wise. And with all the dead cap space we will be limited on who we bring in. Still I don't think we will be as bad as folks think. Assuming that Snow actually knows what he is doing. I doubt we have a winning record but I want an entertaining offense with a defense that is aggressive even if they make mistakes. My worry is the delay of OTAs and any advantage we would get by starting earlier because we have a new coach will diminish if the start of the season keeps getting delayed due to the Corona virus.

All signs point to tanking. We have no real talent not named Christian McCaffery or Kawann Short on either side of the ball. On defense we have pieces, on offense we have questions. I just don't know if we'll be able to even compete in our own division at this point until more moves are made. Thus far, the team is being gutted without bringing in real talent to replace what is lost.

I'd throw Taylor Moton and DJ Moore in there as well. An argument could be made for Shaq Thompson and Brian Burns. Perhaps not a strong argument, admittedly.
