I have great love for bacon, as evidenced here, but going the pre-cooked route is unacceptable.

Yeah, that stuff tastes pretty bad compared to the real deal. However, it is specifically mentioned in one of my favorite bands most famous songs so i will give it that.

Of course it isn't *as good* as fresh bacon.

What makes it awesome is it's convenience. If I want a club sandwich, bam! I can have a club sandwich right away.

Start cooking your bacon....

prepare your sandwich....by the time you are done making a club, bacon should be done by the time you put it all together, your condiments, get bread out, all lathered up with mayo/mustard, lettuce, tomato's, etc.

Pretty simple.

yeah precooked bacon fails on many fronts. I know it's convenient and all, but you pay a premium for that convenience. And it's always the thin bacon, so thin I could throw it up in the air and it would float away. I could take the whole pack and crumble it up and it would fit in the palm of my hand. Hell just go buy a jar of bacon bits if you're going to use that stuff.

thick sliced, on a microwave bacon dish, 4 slices for 5 minutes, and save the grease in a cup for cooking eggs, green beans, or other things.....
