Comp pick cancellation chart

Right now we are in line for a fourth round pick for Addison with 4 free agents leaving and signing 3 so far. Unfortunately signing Teddy ends the chance of getting a 3rd for Bradberry. If Van Roten and Irvin sign elsewhere without signing more qualified ufas we could get more.

My question is still does Teddy count at all against the formula?  Teddy had a voided year from New Orleans for 2020.  Do they treat that as a declined option or as a free agent.  If the formula treats that as a declined option Teddy does not count at all against the formula.  Someone that is stuck in quarantine take a few hours and see if you can figure this out.

Why are you worried about compensatory draft picks. It’s Hurney picking. Basically just write them all off.

Poe is a declined option.  He won't count.

The only declined options are Poe and Wright.  Everyone else will count.  Still don't know if Bridgewater will count because 2020 is a voided year for him.

No one can tell you what round a comp pick will be right now.  It's based on not only how much a player gets payed but how much playing time he gets and how well he plays.  You really wont know for sure what round of comp pick a team will get for a player signed by another team until the end of next season.  Right now everyone thinks NE will get a 3rd for Brady but if he breaks his leg in the preseason and does not play at all it will probably be more like a 4th.  Also it is in relation to the rest of the contracts given out.  If 20 guys get 30 million a year there wont be 20 3rd round picks given out.  There is only 32 extra picks given out a year.  So there is a cutoff as to which ones counts and for which round. 

So to answer you question, who the hell knows.

From everything thing I have seen Teddy does count since he is a ufa. He was not cut, his contract just expired. Replacing Cam with Teddy basically will cost two 3rd round comp picks.  One because Teddy cancels out  Bradberry and next year Cam won't be here as a UFA to qualify if he were to sign elsewhere.

Just a 4th right now  may get a 6 and a 7 from GVR and Irvin
