We finally keep someone!! Haha!! I like Boston he had some nice hits/plays last year that stood out for a crappy defense!! Not sure what everyone is expecting!!?? This happened from Fox/Rivera.. except Fox new he was canned!! Rivera was unexpected but wanted by the Huddle!! Well here u go buckle up!!

He was decent last year on a bad defense.  His deal is loaded in such a way that if he tanks, we can cut him relatively painlessly.  It's not a marquee signing, but it's a good signing.

Here is what I am thinking:  The Panthers said they like versatile players.  Burris was targeted and we all seemed surprise at the $$.  Then we sign Boston.

Burris might be the newest nickel and backup S.

Just a thought.  I have no evidence that this is the plan, other than Burris' background as a CB that was moved to S.  If that is true, Jackson, Burris, then a draft pick could be the CB tandem

Interesting that Boston would sign because he went on radio a couple of weeks ago and said the team decision on QB1 was a make-or-break data-point for a lot of guys in the locker-room as it goes to whether or not they wanted to return.

Guess he decided the combination of cash and Big Time Teddy was enough for him to sign back on.

After a series of 1-year deals with three diff teams, Boston gets the stability and paycheck he sought. And Panthers keep their free safety and a guy whose energy will be important during this transition.

I have no idea what this tean is doing. I think this is pretty good value for Tre, but so far free agency has been one big mixed message. They're not all-in on 2020, but they're not committing to a rebuild either. Who knows.

Good for Tre Boston, who gets his longer-term deal with Carolina like he wanted. And that answers the other question - Juston Burris will likely be valuable, versatile depth. Can play FS, nickel, CB, etc.

So this means we will probably skip drafting a guy in an extremely deep and talented safety draft class.  Par for the course right now. Oh yeah, Hurney is still here.
