Getting a stronger sense that, if there is no market for Cam Newton over next days following team's announcement that they "gave him permission" to seek a trade, then he will be cut. Newton rebutted their version of events on Instagram and has been sharing videos proving health.

The Saints literally have the best offensive roster in the NFL.

They had 4 Pro Bowlers on their offensive line alone.

We have a bunch of turnstiles and guys with concussion issues.

That being said, a healthy Cam should have trade value. Had heard last month teams were more concerned about shoulder than foot; shoulder had an extra year to rest.

Maybe this isn't so bad after all.  We either get a QB for cheap who will exceed expectations, or we're right about him and he will utterly fail, and we'll be in a top draft position regardless.

I like it. And not a bad value for a starting QB in the NFL. 3 years, build in the draft with some cap space in 2021. I can dig it.
