This franchise is seriously going to lose a lot of fans. They just lost their 2 faces in Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly in the same year. Not sure what Tepper is trying to prove. This move doesn't make a lick of sense honestly.

I like Teddy Bridgewater. He is accurate, well-liked, good teammate, perfect for and already has familiarity with Brady and the offense. I love Cam and wish they went with him, but the #Panthers found a good follow-up at QB in Bridgewater.

I was prepared for us to move on from Cam, and even thought it was probably the right call depending on what we could get for a trade, but I didn't want to do it for us to sign frigging Teddy Bridgewater.

$60 million-plus for 3 years (20 million plus a year) is not bad at all. Yeah would be essential what they were set to pay Cam Newton this year

Depends on the deal - assuming TB's contract is a good bit less than Cam:

Option 1 - Stay with Cam, tank season and maybe get Trevor Lawrence, more wasted $$, less picks to rebuild, watch Cam walk in FA with no one to groom TL

Option 2 - Trade Cam, get draft picks, save $$ (maybe), tank and get Trevor Lawrence, have TB to play in front of TL while he grooms for 2-3 years

You may think #1 is better - and it might be.  But you can't say #2 is ridiculous.  It may just be the right call.
