Teddy Bridgewater's career was nearly derailed due to a devastating knee injury in 2016. He fought back and was willing to sign up for a back-up job. When given the chance, he performed admirably. When he wasn't playing, he was the ideal teammate. He has earned this deal.

Mike Tanier is one of the best & most knowledgeable football writers out there. He's the head football guy for Bleacher Report - sure, that site is sh*t, but he's one of the "prestige" writers they brought on board to put lipstick on the pig, and he puts out great stuff.

He's got a rare combination of knowing his sh*t about football and having actual writing ability. He's not from a traditional journalistic background - he was a math teacher, then a founder with Football Outsiders, and never worked a beat gig or anything like that - he's more of a generalist. Highly recommended. No Saints connection - he's an Eagles jackass from Jersey.

Either Rhule is a football genius who can win the SB with Bridgewater, or he's incredibly overconfident due to his amazing success at the college level of turning poop players into winners.

Is he:

A.) An incredible genius about to take the NFL by storm.

B.) Overconfident and about to be obliterated.

C.) Decent coach with so-so QB leading us to 8-8ish limbo for 3 years.

Oh, I don’t believe that. 
 

He’s certainly still within range, only now we will have a lot of money tied up in a bad QB, greatly reducing our ability to fill our numerous roster holes. 
 

This is so incredibly dumb.

This is more terrible than I originally thought. I just looked up the QB stats for last year. Bridgewater had an average air yards per completion of 4.6 yards, which ranks him 37th out of 39 quarterbacks last season. It gets worse. His average intended air yards was 6.2 yards, which was last in the league. What a nightmare.

For what its worth.  Albert Greer was on Cowherd and said Bridgewater knows the offense, is a good lockerroom/film room player and can help teach a younger qb the system since its complex.  Highly insinuating we are drafting someone.

 

Cowherd had some pretty harsh things to say about cam that I didnt really agree with.
