The writing has been on the wall for a long time! But could he have handles it better and gone above and beyond the normal lying? Of course! He probably didn't want to put the franchise at a competitive disadvantage while things were still working themselves out! It's not an excuse, but a reason.

In retrospect, he (and Rhule) should've taken a page out of Hurney's playbook on this one and been noncommittal!

We've just begun the new era, no need to be over-the-top negative; a certain amount of cynicism is understandable.

As we have seen clearly through the years with Dave Gettleman and years that have followed as he has navigated the same waters with the Giants, there are different ways of doing business. Some are more effective than others, and some will have ramifications you won't see until later. We will find out, that is for sure.

Wow another thread on the subject. What a tough guy you are.

I'm not going to lose my mind over a product that I haven't seen on the field yet. That's just stupid. I'll be patient and see what happens.

It’s not about being tough, it’s being a fan and customer of the product they sell and telling them I don’t like the way they do business. It’s ok to have and voice an opinion on that. I’m one guy on a message board, but I’m not the only one who feels this way. They deserve to hear and feel the heat from their actions and the collective voice is going to give it to them. Whether you think Cam should have stayed or have been let go, they did him wrong through this process and let people and apparently even Cam think things that weren’t true. They’ll have endless excuses and will be able to say they never promised anything and I hope those thin arguments keep them warm at night.

Why the do we NEVER GET ANYTHING for our guys! They walk away and we are always left with peanuts. It just never makes sense to me. If someone could explain logically I'd appreciate it.

Jonathan Jones says that we would be lucky to get a 3rd round pick for our MVP. And all of the guys we have lost in free agency and moving forward plus the guys in the past we just never get any ROI on any of them. Why is that?

Would you pay a guy with a 3rd round value $20 million?

The New York Jets are trading quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and a sixth-round pick to the Saints in exchange for a third-round pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Show me 10 great plays from Bridgewater's career. Show me 10 great moves from Hurney's last decade.
